We chose this cruise because we had not been to Bermuda since 2015 and liked the itinerary. We had last cruised on the Mariner of the Sea in Oct. 2008. We flew into Orlando the day before the cruise and used GOPORT. COM package for a hotel room and transportation to and from the port. Getting on the ship took about 90 minutes as they checked your vaccination record, COVID test results and your Bermuda Travel Authorization which you have to apply for from the Bermuda Government for $40 per person. In Bermuda we bought a 2 day transportation pass for $31.50 which allowed us to use the ferry or the bus. The ferry is the quickest way to get from Kings Warf where we were docked to Hamilton or St. George. We took the ferry to Hamilton and the bus to St. George and back so we could see more of the island. The bus terminal in Hamilton is on top of the hill next to city hall. It is easy to find. The Mariner of the Sea is a nice ship but it is showing it’s age. The Wi-Fi on the ship was the worst we have ever experienced on any cruise. On the last day they upgraded us to Surf & Streaming but there was little improvement. We ate most lunches in the Windjammer and the food was just ok. Same for the food in the dining room. The last day we were in Coco Cay and had a great time. We also ate lunch there and they had a good variety of food and it was good. I was really disappointed in the entertainment. Out of the 8 nights we only thought the entertainment on the second night was good as they had a tribute singing group to Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons.

Cabin Review

We were in cabin 7290 on deck 7. Really bad wifi and shower had a number of problems. Everything looked like it needed to be upgrades. Even the TV was a small screen.
