Great itinerary, generally good execution

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Island Princess

Chose the Ft. Lauderdale to Fort Lauderdale world cruise for the excellent scheduled itinerary. Was a bit concerned about the reconfiguration of the ship that replaced the aft lounge with additional cabins. Also concerned about general age and condition of ship based on reviews. The delivered itinerary exceeded expectations, even with a number of ports cancelled due to weather. Princess ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Sirena

Primarily chose this cruise because we wanted the Panama Canal crossing. Food was overall good. Disappointed that French Onion soup was never served. The main dining room is also Jacques as there is insufficient space for 4 specialty restaurants. However, main or Grand dining room is never open when in port. C'est la vie. Service in the main dining room was erratic. Sometimes ...

Meeting expectations (both good and bad)

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Queen Victoria

This was our third time on Cunard and our second on the Queen Victoria, so we had a good idea of what to expect: excellent service, excellent dancing and mediocre food. Our April cruise through the Panama Canal, from LA to Fort Lauderdale, met two of those three expectations. The service was indeed excellent. Every crew member we encountered was friendly and eager to help. Our cabin steward, ...

Our twelve day cruise aboard the Viking Kirov was enjoyable. Traveling with friends, we made many memories to share. Our flight to St. Petersburg from Southern California arrived at 10:30 PM, long after our fellow cruisers had retired for the nite. The first morning, we were up and on the road, off to The Hermitage. Exhausting day with time change, etc. Would suggest that first day in St. ...

This was our second cruise, both with Carnival, the first being a 3 day to Nassau, Bahamas from Miami. This cruise, however, was a 4 day that left from the port of Long Beach and visited Catalina Island, and Ensenada, Mexico. We flew down one day early to avoid any problems with flight delays etc. and stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Long Beach. A modern hotel with nice rooms and a ...

Paradise 5/26/06, 3 day Memorial Day Weekend Embarkation -- We arrived at the Long Beach terminal around 11:30 & found a parking space on the first level immediately. We took our bags straight to a porter & he told us the previous cruise passengers had only just been able to debark. We headed to the Queen Mary to see about early check in & they had just closed... so we walked back to the cruise ...
