We are diamond plus cruisers with RCCL. However, this cruise was a wake-up call after the Covid shut down RCCL have cut everything to the bone. The first night 2 untrained waiters served cold main course steak with fries, had a replacement Steak and fries but could not cut the Steak with the provided steak knife so this once again got returned, This happened 5 times on various occasions to me ...
So so disappointed with this cruise. The ship did not have the WOW factor we were expecting, Independence Is far more impressive!
Our cabin was on deck 13, on first inspection it was fantastic but we soon found out that we had noise starting at 2:45 am every morning from the kitchens above. After 8 days of complaining and lack of sleep we were given another cabin.
DO NOT BOOK A CABIN ON ...
Take poor management, add poor ship design and sprinkle this with an unmotivated and unhappy crew and the result is Anthem of the Seas.
Please take note that basically all the negatives published on cruisecritic are more or less completely true. I do not have much to add that is not said yet.
In their eager to create the WOW factor, RCCL has forgotten that, at the end of the line, it’s all ...
When we arrived at ship, embarkation was shambles, took 1 and a half hours. The ship looked lovely but ipad booking of resturants always said all resturants were full, apparently ship was 500 staff short, service was very poor and most of staff seemed like they didnt want to be there, espically eastern european ones. Carribean and filipino ones were only ones happy and helpful.
Even food was ...
Do not go on this ship, unless you want to pay a fortune for 'butlins on sea'. The ship was overcrowded with no room on the upper decks . small cabins even though we paid for an upgrade food was the same in each restaurant .the entertainment we booked for was over booked and we couldn't get in . The cruise was a dream works cruise but not a character in sight,as for the ...
Wouldn't go on this ship again too big, too busy.
Plenty to do for 14-17yrs but for us not restful at all. Embarkation at Southampton terrible, we were told nothing just stuck outside (my daughter in a wheelchair ) for over 2 hrs with no information . Eventually told a technical problem with the gangway, problems happen but to not inform hundreds of people for hours was unacceptable. We should ...
We were a family of four, kids aged 10yrs.
Embarked at southampton which was failry easy and hassle free.
First day cruising my daughter spotted a 'Number 2' in the pool and informed attendant which was closed immediately and cleaned. My daughter suffered with diarhea for the next two days (coincidence???)
First 2 days crusing is baltic cold so cant sunbath and just thousands of people ...
Presently sailing on the Anthem of the Seas. As you can see have time to write review because there is little else to do.
We sailed on the Oasis last year. Apparently all Royal Caribbean ships are their best. Well unless their has been a complete change we find this hard to believe. Whilst the ship itself is very nice the food, staff, organisation, entertainment and excursions are ...
The Anthem of the Seas was our third cruise, what a disaster. drove through the night to get to Southampton the parking was taken care of and we were looking forward to our £8000 holiday this was our first encounter with the disaster that awaited us.
Southampton bording was a total shambles, my wife is disabled and the delay's, well unbelieveable - 3 hours, no refreshments, no seat's in fact ...
From the moment me and my husband got on the ship we were very excited, it was a 31st Anniversary surprise, that turned out to be a nightmare,I am so disappointed and disgusted
We have travelled on RC for many years and never experienced anything like it.
are first meal we had in silks was just un believable,(before i came on the cruise I bought a soda and non alcohol cocktail ...
