Never having cruised previously with Princess, we booked this cruise for the itinerary and sailing date.
Embarkation in Southampton was hassle free, even for 3500 passengers, and first impressions of the ship were positive, as we experienced a well presented and polished interior.

32 day Back to Back Cruise on the Sky Princess from Sept 16th to Oct 17th 2023. We also did this Cruise last year on the Sky Princess and how things have now gone way downhill.

Having just completed a cruise on Oceania’s new ship, Vista. I would like to share my observations about the Vista as compared to their sister ships, Marina and Riviera.
Things that were eliminated:
No Jacques (our favorite speciality restaurant), no Coffee Corner in Horizons (our favorite breakfast place), no Prime Rib in Polo (our favorite meal), no La Reserve, no Grand Bar, no Wine Bar, ...

Could have added an extra port or two . We had one day at sea between both Halifax and Boston and Boston and Newark when it's only 8 hours direct. Could have added Lisbon or Vigo.
Entertainment not that great, they spent $6 million on the two 70 theatre rotating tv screens when they could have made the dance floor twice as big. The Esplanade poor set of shops mainly jewelry and watches. No ...

PRE-CRUISE INFO / ARRIVAL AT THE TERMINAL
* No reference to the need to wear masks for the first 7 days of this cruise until our arrival at the embarkation terminal. Had this been made clear earlier we would have forfeited our deposit and cancelled this cruise. Thankfully once the ship was given the all clear when we reached Canada, masks were “recommended” rather than “mandatory”.

First the positives! The ship was lovely, clean and modern. The service everywhere was exemplary. Cheerful, helpful crew.

Lets start with the good stuff: The new design of the cabins is fantastic. Lots of space, very functionnal and great decor.
As usual on NCL, quality of the food is outstanding, great crew, great service. The Hudson main dining room is fabulous and the improved fixed menue have lots of choices.

We chose this cruise based on prior cruises with Princess and because of the itinerary. We thought it would be a good value for the experience.
