Chose this cruise because we had never been to Canada.
First the positives! The ship was lovely, clean and modern. The service everywhere was exemplary. Cheerful, helpful crew.
Food: the menu items in the main dining rooms we found rather unusual! A bit too adventurous for our tastes, but decent food. The buffet, at first impressions, was great! Always at least three meat joints, plus lots of other choice. But, it soon became a bit boring! The vegetables were dire, poorly prepared, poor quality and invariably Luke warm. If you like good old English dishes good luck. They try really hard to accommodate all tastes but fall flat on preparation and quality. The desserts looked fantastic, but were mostly cheap spongy, false cream offerings. There was always a “pudding”, this was either a fruit cobbler or fruit crumble, warm with barley warm custard!
Good cabin, good location.
Ocean Medallion, hit and miss at opening door!
Noise from next door TV annoying.
Air conditioning dodgy! Old fashioned analog type thermostat, not consistent temperature!
