We chose this cruise based on prior cruises with Princess and because of the itinerary. We thought it would be a good value for the experience. Overall this cruise was pleasant, but there were a lot of factors which prevented this from being a "five" value. Most of them appear to be at their root issues with management and systems (both design and implementation).
Most of the time each day we were enjoying ourselves; what follows is meant to be constructive criticism.
Embarkation was a cinch, we were at "green" for our online embarkation; even though the online stuff simply would not work with regards to posting our covid test results. We were through and on-board before 1 pm, probably took no more then 15 minutes from arrival at the terminal until we were on ship. Bags were at the stateroom very quickly.
A mini suite is not a suite. If the bed had been near the balcony so someone could use the living area and/or the bathroom with the curtain drawn and been able to thereby not disturb someone in the bed area then it would have been improved. But the design is lacking. It is larger than a normal cabin and has a larger bathroom including a tub. Balcony is adequate but not where we spend our time.
Our cabin steward was excellent, but he was not adequately backed up by room service and the people behind him. And someone needs to be sure that sanitary bags in the bathroom are kept in full supply, not let them get down to one and not resupply.
Bed is comfortable to sleep in, I just don't know why the edges of the mattress have to compress down quite so far when you are sitting on the edge.
