I chose this cruise because I had always wanted to cruise the fjords. I chose HAL because I have cruised them numerous times in the past, have always liked their quality and attention to the passengers. I chose the Koningsdam because it went to the fjords. The ship was recently launched. It holds 2,600 people which is way too many to be dumped into the small Norweign port cities. The lines to ...
We are in our seventies and used to traveling. We pay for first class and expect good service, but we are not demanding. We are pretty easy-going...but
This was about our fourteenth cruise. For ten of the twelve days we had NO HOT WATER...for three of the days our toilet didn't work. During one morning the maintenance crew was working on the pipes outside our suite, and we listened to banging ...

Want something besides coffee, tea ...
It had been many years since I'd sailed (always with Cunard) and I was truly excited to experience a new ship and new ports. Obviously, either cruising has changed drastically or I picked the wrong cruise line. I was not prepared for very cramped cabin (a friend traveled as well) with little closet space and "secret" drawers under bed and settee (had to store luggage under the beds). Had we not ...
