Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

If you are considering booking a wedding with Royal Carribean DON'T and please consider the following. Disclaimer: I DO TIE MY EXPERIENCE WITH ROYAL ROMANCE DIRECTLY WITH THE CRUISE AS A WHOLE. First off there is a brochure/downloadable pdf on the Royal Carribean website that paints it all as a well oiled machine. As though it is all worked out and everything will be taken care of. This is ...

HAPPY with the FREEDOM but NOT the Navigator of the Seas.

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

We picked this cruise just to get away for a break. This was our 5th cruise, 3 of which were in the last 17 months. (Did we say retirement!) 4 out of 5 cruises were on RC ships. We parked at Park 'N Go about a mile from the port. We had excellent service being dropped off and picked up. Upon arrival at the port we had a smooth embarkation with approximately 30 minutes time lapse from the ...

This was our 4th cruise on RCCL and I doubt we will ever book another with them.

I chose this cruise because it was priced right and I wanted to experience this ship. I also had never been to Labadee, their private island. The ship was beautiful and very clean. The cabin and especially the bathroom was quite small for a balcony stateroom. We had purchased 3 nights in specialty restaurants prior to the cruise. When we got on board, a man from the Sabor Mexican restaurant ...

While we have cruised many times on all of the cruise lines being located only 20 minutes from Port Everglades we had only one experience with RCL on the Oasis, and that was a good cruise so we thought we would try them again. Bad Mistake! Our first impression of the ships overall condition was when we walked to our stateroom. The hallways had a severe musty smell to them comparable to a ...

LOVE RCC but NOT the Navigator of the Seas.

We have always been VERY pleased with our experiences aboard Royal Caribbean ships. This ship however DID NOT meet our expectations. Most of the crew was very professional and helpful but very disorganized and not very knowledgable; the ship needs a lot of work. We did not have the use of our cabin for several hours due to a plumbing issue on our floor. I have never taken a cruise where ...

I liked that there were lots of beach chairs on deck. Checking out towels each day was a pain. And people did save chairs even though they weren't supposed to. The captain was super hard to understand and didn't really keep us updated. The food in the windjammer was not great. Always the same things and too many rice dishes or one pot dishes. The windjammer was always closed too. The deck was ...

Overcrowded and Underwhelmed

First time on Royal Caribbean and a poor first impression. Check in was not bad, but could tell security screening was intended to find alcohol, not weapons - side table was full of confiscated booze. Stateroom was nice with a full-sized sofa. Bathroom had a shower door instead of a curtain and plenty of hot water and pressure was good. Unfortunately, neighbor three doors upwind liked to ...

Some Good, Much Bad

First, the good. Food, service, and shows were all excellent. I reserve the "bad" for the ship and for Royal Caribbean itself. While we are not heavily experienced cruisers, this was our third cruise and this ship is substandard compared to the older and smaller Serenade of the Seas and Celebrity Century. Why substandard? Let me name the ways. First, I was really, really irked by the ...

Overall: We took the Navigator of the Seas (Royal Caribbean) to the Western Caribbean: Coco Cay, Cozumel, Grand Cayman starting November 22nd, 2015. We had about 25 family members, and I was travelling with my wife and three kids staying in two staterooms (#9358, #9360). Apparently there are hard-core crusiers whose loyalty approaches religious ferver and then there is everyone else. So ...

Refurbished ship still very old, and felt antique.

I should start by saying the staff on the Navigator is great. But, this ship was refurbished in 2014 & was only outfitted with virtual screens in certain cabins (we had such a cabin) and navigation screens on each floor. I take issue with the bed linen needing to be updated (multiple cruisers complained of yellow tinted sheet, I had that complaint too). Also the bathrooms were terrible. Every time ...
