Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Viking Neptune

We chose the Viking Panama Canal 16 day cruise because of the opportunity for extended sea days mixed with South American tropical ports of call. This itinerary afforded us ample time aboard to take advantage of multiple Nordic Spa days, daily promenade walks at sunrise, sunsets on our veranda and star lite nights. Quiet times to sunbath with a good book or reflect upon the soul stirring live ...

This was my very first ocean cruise. I had specific requirements in my search for the right cruise. I wasn’t interested in a party atmosphere with loud disco music, I wanted to avoid children running around the ship, and I wasn’t interested in spending time with gambling or casinos. I wanted a cruise with diverse dining options in restaurants that didn’t require me to become best friends with a ...

Review for a Africa Cruise on Zuiderdam

Itinerary- Africa at the top of my bucket list. Most ports were readily available to walk through. Ship tours ranged in price- from inexpensive to YIKES! Even though I now travel solo, I was comfortable and at ease. Staff on board exceptional- always willing to answer questions, give directions when we got lost or needed more information. Cabin stewards were always going the extra mile to make ...

Another excellent cruise experience on Koningsdam

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Koningsdam

We chose this cruise because we had a great 21 night Caribbean cruise on the Koningsdam in 2018 and because we were looking for a longer duration European cruise that included a transatlantic crossing. Outstanding aspects of the cruise included the very high quality of onboard services and food quality. While not seeing the rationale of Holland America reworking some areas to provide private ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Costa Deliziosa

I was really excited to get back and give Costa Deliziosa a proper review. I am not sure which cruise most folks that have had issues with this cruise sailed on though my experience was completely opposite. So yes I have been on about 10 cruises in The U S and one out of Rome. Also I used to work on a ship (Everyone a large vessel is not a boat. It is a ship) years ago. Pre registration was ...

I was on other cruise where the cabin was so small we had to keep open luggage under the bed and use them as closets.Costa cabin is so nice and spacious. The cleaning of the cabin, is so amazingly good, in the minimum details. and any request was looked into! Amazing clean bathrooms all over at any time. And if there was an issue on the public spaces if you notified it, they were instantly ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Oosterdam

My husband and I had never been to Europe, so we chose this cruise to get a good "sample" of countries. The 8 days at sea sailing across the Atlantic were relaxing and a great way to start our trip. The Oosterdam is a beautiful, elegant ship. Our cabin was wonderful (see below). We loved all the ports except Huelva, Spain. If you dock there, you might want to take an excursion to ...

This was our first cruise with Holland America and our first Transatlantic cruise. The itinerary was like none we had seen and we were excited to be going to 16Ports! We were impressed with how quickly and smoothly the embarkation and disembarkation went. The Oosterdam was in dry dock prior to our departure from Fort Lauderdale. The two week refit in the Bahamas included: New bottom ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Royal Princess

The embarkation was simple and well done. We had an obstructed balcony but since it wasn't really hot we did not spend a lot of time on the balcony. We did sit out there in port. The obstruction was not horrible because the boat only covered part of the balcony. Loved the fact that we had a couch in the room. Great activities, great movies under the stars or in the theater and then ...

Love Princess! The atrium on the Royal always give me a thrill. The ship is elegant, the staff are wonderful, the food is excellent and the itineraries are the best wherever you want to go. The organisation and logistics are second to none and on this particular cruise when the weather was bad in Monte Carlo, our Captain Nick Nash got straight on to Santa Clarita for permission to change course as ...
