We chose this cruise for the Itinerary. We have done 38 cruises with many different cruise lines but this was our first with P&O. From reading boards before hand I was lead to believe this was a slightly up market cruise, better than celebrity and Princess but more traditional like Cunard. After some amazing cruises with TUI and Royal Caribbean, we chose to do the Norwegian Fjords primarily for the scenery. Sad to say Gerainger aside we didn’t see too much of the Fjords and spent a lot of time on choppy sea. Trips further into the Fjords were available but at a price.

We are veterans of twenty cruises and this was our first time with P&O, we chose a seven night trip to the Norwegian Fjords leaving from Southampton.
Parking was superb, boarding efficient our bags were outside our cabin by the time we got there, room attendant excellent and beyond reproach.

Chose this due to fantastic marketing by Hurtigruten but the reality does not live up to the marketing. The Norwegian coast is not how it's portrayed in promotional material and the towns are not quaint fishing village types but industrial towns. Not very attractive. Food was extremely disappointing in the dinning room and buffet. Cheap meats and the same food everyday for the majority. Best food was the food in O Sheehan's.
