Costa Mediterranea - a Wonderful Cruise Down the Adriatic

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Mediterranea

We have just returned from a wonderful 7 days on the Costa Meditteranea sailing from Venice to Katakolon and return. We also sailed during the week of a storm so had an extra day in Corfu but have nothing but praise for the staff. We are an English speaking retired couple who travel quite a lot. At no time did we feel that as English speakers life was more difficult for us on the Costa ...

Costa not the same as it used to be

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Mediterranea

We chose this cruise because of the ports some of which we had not been to. We sailed from Venice to Trieste, Split, Dubrovnik, Katakalon, Corfu and Kator. We had previously been on 30 cruises, 4 of which were Costa which were prior to Carnival buying them. The food was OK, not great as it used to be. The entertainment was only great when they did the production shows which was only twice, but the ...

At Costa - the customer is always wrong.

We chose this cruise for the ports, which did not disappoint. However, we encountered many problems on our first time on the Costa line. The cruise was marred by inefficiency, little concern for the passenger, needless standing, waiting, and rude customer service. The worst was rude treatment at the customer service desk. On the third day of the trip our internet stopped, costing us ...

Will never recommend this Cruise line especially for US residents or English

Not recommended for English speaking or US residents. The staff are disrespectful, rude, very unorganized, never on time, staff never smiles, once cruise over never says thanks or acknowledges you. This is an international ship that provides for the Italians. Boring itinerary, no courtesy shuttle having all ports too far to destination highlights and Costa will rip your wallet on charging too much ...

Poor Service

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Deliziosa

I had my first experience with Costa Deliziosa in July 2016. And I definitely will be the last time I travel with them!! Service very poor compared to other cruise companies as MSC or Norwegian. I was very disappointed in general. The staff from the bar and the buffet didn't even know what was included in my package. Costa is very orientated to families and children, so I you think you can ...

I would never , ever go on a Costa cruise again. The food was not up to par and everything was a purchase package. There was even a package for coffee. We were a total of 6 adults and 4 of the 6 were not drinkers . After being told during embarkation ( which was a nightmare ) and at the front desk that we could purchase 2 alcohol packages and 4 regular soda/ water packages , when we attempted ...

Not a relaxing experience on this cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Mediterranea

I chose this cruise because the timing and itinerary worked best for me to relax on a cruise after a land tour. I have never cruised with Costa before. Though my agent said that it is so-so, I decided to give it a try. After 7 days on the Mediterranea, I think I most probably will not come back to Costa cruises again. Costa cruises may be for some people but not for me who can only understand ...

it suited the destinations to Santorini BARI, mykonos , dubrovnick curfu..i really enjoyed the entertainment, the dancing troupe from HUNGARY were fantastic, the pool dancing and entertainment was great. daily buffet was only 7/10 as it was difficult to find to sit. i preferred the food on the Norwegian epic as there was more choice.the cabin was great . but you have to pay for the shuttle ...

It occurred to me that the reality was reoccurring of another Concordia accident. People were running around like chickens chased by foxes. finally the bridge adivsed all cabins to go back to sleep! I've cruised Costa several times, and it has steadily declined over a 10 year period. The biggest stink is that coffee & tea are not allowed to be consumed free outside of meal times (must be ...

My review is written in 2 sections for reasons that will become apparent. I'm reviewing the service and food etc, then an incident that had a major impact on our trip. This is our 5th Costa cruise. Despite what is written by others we have always had a great holiday. Yes, there are issues, things aren't quite what is expected, the management are surly and short (not height!), but that happens ...
