I've sailed NCL, Princess and MSC.
Like MSC, I didn't go with high expectations based on reviews. The trick is to go with low expectations and then you won't be disappointed!
The truth is you can't pay Costa money and expect NCL quality. Value for money wise - I thought it was very good.

This was a rebooking due to COVID cancellations going back to 2020. The cruise was one of quite a few Costa cruises that we have previously enjoyed.

I chose this cruise due to the itinerary because I had already done other cruises on the Mediterranean and I didn't want to repeat the same ports. The ship is new and very beautiful. Overall the staff was great and always willing to help and super friendly. The ship was clean and the food was pretty food
However, the first time on a cruise we did not know what to expect.
Unless you are at the buffet/free restaurant at specified times. Be prepared to pay for everything. Including water by the bottle.

The COSTA COVID Activities are far too hard compared with other Cruise companies. Costa guests are NOT allowed to go alone from the board (in other Cruise companies is this allowed). You feel like in jail if you go with COSTA!
It is better to wait with cruises with Costa as long as the COVID activities are mandatory.

We choose this cruise as we wanted to sample their new flag ship, having cruised twice before on the Diadema, We were at the time able to book a cabin for 5, having done so on the Diadema where we had 1,5 bathrooms and 5 proper beds, we expected the same if not better!

This 3 week old ship was a disappointment compared to Costa Diadema (commenced service 2014) and other older Costa ships I’ve cruised on.
