I had anticipated a better overall experience from Silver Seas.

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Silver Whisper

I booked this cruise over a year ago, specifically for the itinerary and size of the ship, allowing access to smaller fjords. It was more than I usually spend, however, from all reviews, it would be well worth the extra cost. I am a single woman traveler, mid-60's and accustomed to traveling alone, I have always met like-minded travelers along the way and had great experiences. I have cruised ...

COMENTARIES ON MY CRUISE ON SILVER WHISPER

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Silver Whisper

We chose this cruise because we wanted to cruise through the Norwegian fjords. Silversea had the perfect trip and we booked it a year ago. The ship has very comfortable rooms and I cannot say enough as to how marvelous the food and service was on board. I have taken many cruises but none had such a fabulous group of personnel. I do want to congratulate them on this feature. The shows were ...

Disappointing - Not Luxury

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Star Legend

This was our first sailing with Windstar and we were looking forward to the "Luxury" experiences that they advertise. We were sorely disappointed. We are seasoned travelers. This was our eleventh sea-going cruise and we have sailed with other luxury lines, so we know that our expectations were not out of line. We sailed with Crystal twice, and Seabourn four times and never were disappointed. ...

Poor Excursion Planning

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Viking Star

This cruise was scheduled to depart Bergen, Norway on August 9 but mechanical problems with the ship on the previous voyage delayed and almost curtailed the cruise we were scheduled to take. Two days before the sail date, we received a notice that there were problems and we would "most likely" be able to depart from Copenhagen on August 11. In fairness, we were given the option to cancel our trip ...

I have been on 30+ cruises on numerous different lines from age 12 through to this week. We just debarked at Barcelona. This was my first time with Viking. I am platinum with Cunard and have also been on Carnival, NCL, Holland America, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean and, as a child back in the 70's on Chandris- the old MS Victoria! Our trip was to have been 15 days from Bergen, Norway to Barcelona, ...

Not the Cruise We Signed Up For

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Viking Star

VIKING STAR PASSAGE THROUGH WESTERN EUROPE I was conflicted about how to write this review. we had the misfortune to be on the august 8 sailing delayed by the ship’s engine problems, so a review of our cruise will obviously be colored by this (hopefully) onetime event that would (again hopefully) not be an issue for future cruisers looking for feedback on the ship. so i will try to resolve ...

Deceptive Offer for this Cruise

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

User Avatar

Regent offered this cruise with business class airfare included. Upon returning from the cruise we and several other couples learned that the airline oversold their business class seats. Regent's offer was not contingent on an "if available" basis. Several attempts to get Regent to give us an accommodation for this downgrade, including writing to specific executives, were dismissed with an ...

Azamara - Not Up to Expectations

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Azamara Journey

This is our 12th cruise. We selected this cruise for the itinerary and we had always wanted to do a smaller “luxury” cruise. When we signed on, the offer was for a two-level upgrade. Basically, we received a veranda room at an inside cabin price. Leaving from the Wash. DC area, we added 3 days to the front of the trip in Copenhagen, and 3 days at the end of the trip in London. BOARDING The ...

Lame excuse for excursions

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Azamara Journey

The ship was kept immaculately clean and the onboard crew, staff, and entertainment were excellent. As usual, food started out great and the quality decreased over the course of the cruise. We were upgraded from sea view to veranda without our consent and it was not worth it. Having the veranda took space from the interior of the cabin and it was not really big enough for three. My main complaint ...

Baltic Marvels on Oceania Marina

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

This was our second cruise with Oceania - both on the Marina. (This was my 12th cruise overall.) This is a beautiful ship. Still very well taken care of. No real signs of aging anywhere. They take very good care of it - especially in high traffic areas. The front line staff are amazing. Very, very friendly and many recognized us from our last cruise (8 months prior). They really do whatever they ...
