The Ascent is a very nice ship. Very modern, comfortable and didn't feel all that crowded except at the pool during days at sea and Ocean View Cafe during breakfast & lunch.
We stayed in a Infinite Balcony cabin on deck 8 which allowed for more interior space than a typical balcony room but still allowed the balcony experience. I was skeptical of this concept but I really enjoyed it and would ...
The Celebrity Ascent is a stunning ship with beautiful design in most areas. It has a modern, upscale feel that's truly enjoyable. However, there were a few shortcomings that surprised us, especially considering this is a new Celebrity ship.
One frustration was the theater. We waited in line for a show in the top section of the Club, only to discover it had limited visibility. The layout seems ...
Second week, new room due to excessive noise from midnight to 3:00am under Craft Social Bar on deck 4. Moved to deck 11 aft, super easy process, clothes stay on hangers load up suitcase with the rest of your stuff and walk off the ship for the turnaround at security check.
Back on board in 20 minutes or less, up the elevator and tada luggage and clothes are on the bed. Put everything back ...
We sailed out of Miami with our 3 teens on Spring Break. Embarkation was easy. We had 2 Oceanview cabins on deck 2 and were surprised at how modern, bright and clean they were. The beds were really comfy and our room attendant Rhea went above and beyond to make us feel at home. This ship may be older, but honestly, it was spotless and beautifully updated. We did not do any speciality dining and ...
We had been on 15 cruises with Royal Caribbean and decided to give Celebrity a try. We were expecting it to be a step up and it was, but not in all areas.
We knew the Equinox was an older ship that had been refurbished, so that was no surprise. The exterior of the ship showed some age, but the interior didn't look dated. The furnishings were a bit nicer than on the Royal ships. Our cabin ...
My wife & I have been cruising since the very early 1970s (M/S Boheme was first) .. we have done 40 or so on Carnival but left when it became so droopy pants and rotten loud music. Transitioned to 32 or so on Princess but were saddened to see our Elite category being diluted with the loss of complimentary benefits we had enjoyed in that category. Transitioned to Celebrity. Cruising has been very ...
Smallest ship we’ve been on but it surpassed our expectations. Felt modern, clean and was actually really nice and we had a great 5 days. The food was fantastic, in the dining room and the buffet. The pool area was nice besides the usual annoying people who ‘reserve’ their sunbed and use them for half an hour the whole day!!! The staff do nothing.
Our cabin was interior and very big. Really ...
We got on board on Feb 19th 2024
Upside:
-Very nice staff and room attendants.
-Buffet and restaurants served great food
-Lots of activities, shows, Jazz music and acrobatics were prepared for guests.
-Nice gym, swimming pools and jogging track.
Downside:
-Cayman island got canceled, early morning Captain Kate informed passengers it was due to weather and wind which the ...
After being on the Apex twice last year, we were excited to try a shiny new E class ship. The Ascent is beautiful with gorgeous spaces all over the ship.
This is the first cruise where we, as a young at heart late 60/early 70's couple felt old LOL. Celebrity is clearly drawing a younger demographic, which is great, but having later shows, later deck parties, later silent discos excludes ...
Just got off the Celebrity Equinox (10 day cruise out of Fort Lauderdale to Aruba, Grand Cayman, and Curacao) and thought I would post my review while everything was still fresh!
We did the Retreat Class (Celebrity Suite) which was remarkable and in our opinion worth the extra price.
The service on this ship is another level. Every single staff member seemed to want to make your cruise ...
