After being on the Apex twice last year, we were excited to try a shiny new E class ship. The Ascent is beautiful with gorgeous spaces all over the ship.

This is the first cruise where we, as a young at heart late 60/early 70's couple felt old LOL. Celebrity is clearly drawing a younger demographic, which is great, but having later shows, later deck parties, later silent discos excludes many long time older (not old) Celebrity cruisers.

Cabin Review

The cabin is beautiful but when we booked there were limited cabins so ended up at the front of the ship, which was a long walk to the elevator. There are only 2 elevator banks on this giant ship, which seems a major design flaw.

Infinity Veranda Balcony always seems to have mixed reviews. Yes the cabin feels larger but looking at another ship which docked next to ours, the IVB had much more comfy chairs and a side table that was more conducive to room service. Celebrity "balcony" chairs were more comfy on the Ascent than the Apex but the mini table barely fit two drinks on it.
