1-10 of 500 Western Caribbean Celebrity Equinox Western Caribbean Cruise Reviews
My wife and I are huge fans of Celebrity Cruises. We use them as the standard by which we compare all other vacations. Our usual stateroom preference is a Sky Suite as it's the perfect size for the two of us. The Equinox recently went through the Celebrity Revolution where all rooms and areas were updated. However there were some areas that you could tell had yet to be rejuvenated. Basically ...
I haven't cruised in a long time, so I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. I will say I was largely impressed with the experience on the Equinox and the good certainly outweighed the bad. I broke my review down into the good and the bad. All the "goods" weighed equally to me. The "bads" I listed from what I see as bigger issues down to more minor knits.
The good (in no particular order):
The ...
First off allow me to be clear- I am not what you would call a cruise veteran. My only prior cruise experience was 37 years ago. Of course things have changed in this time. But I do not feel that changed for the better.
I am going to address the food first. The main banquet dining on Deck 14 had a huge variety, but the quality was pretty poor. I was rather shocked by this given the reputation ...
I sailed on July 24 from Fort Lauderdale on a six day cruise. This was my first cruise on Celebrity having always been onboard RCCL and attaining Diamond Plus level. This Celebrity cruise was an eye opener.
Check in went swiftly and easily. They have a nice terminal at Port Everglades. Upon entering the ship I was very impressed with it. It is beautifully, yet elegantly appointed and kept ...
Background Information
My wife and I are experienced cruisers with 50+ cruises however this was our first time cruising with Celebrity. We have sailed with various cruise lines over the years and are Diamond Plus with Royal Caribbean. With Celebrity being owned by RCL, we were extended the courtesy of Elite status on Celebrity.
We booked our July 24th, 2022 cruise over the July 4th ...
This was a six-night cruise in mid-July 2022 to Key West, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. I traveled solo. As it was my first cruise, I was more interested in enjoying the ship and its amenities than the ports. I only disembarked once, for a “Mexology” class in Cozumel. Here is a detailed review. Despite some of the shortcomings and criticisms I note herein, I was very happy with this experience ...
We loved this cruise and as spa people we loved our AquaClass cabin, amenities, location and unlimited access to the Persian Garden but best of all Blu! Blu is the restaurant dedicated to those staying in an AquaClass cabin serving breakfast and dinner, which has exclusive menu items as well as offerings from the main menu. The location of the restaurant is fantastic having floor to ceiling ...
Excitedly boarded Celebrity Equinox today. We booked Concierge level room with the Indulge upgrade package. We have been sailing ?rc the last three cruises this past year, but the last two had numerous issues.
First issue was our room key did not state that we had the “Indulge” drink package. So, when we went to order drinks, the server couldn’t take our order without charging our room. We also ...
We were originally booked on the X Edge for March 15, 2020. Packed and ready to go when they closed down cruising on March 14. We opted for FCC's and made a couple of bookings that were, of course, cancelled. FINALLY, we made a booking that paid off. We were happy to be back, and the crew treated us like royalty. We booked a suite this time, only having balconies on past cruises. This Sky ...
We flew to Ft. Lauderdale the same day as our cruise and arrived at the Ft Lauderdale airport at 12:15 pm and had our luggage at 12:45 pm. Our scheduled boarding time was 2:30 pm but at 1:30 pm we took the taxi to the port for $19.15 plus tip arriving at 12:50 pm. There was no problem that we arrived ahead of our scheduled boarding time. We went thru several stations, each looking at our passport ...
