We very much enjoyed our week-long Pacific Coastal cruise on the Solstice. We found the food to be as good as ever and the cabin was well attended and comfortable. There were many pros but also a few cons. The cons are relatively minor but I hope not indicative of some slippage of standards.
These two points are quite minor, but were surprising. All week long, our king-size pillows had ...
Chose it for the itinerary. This was our first cruise in nearly 4 years due to Covid. The food was excellent but we did notice the portions are smaller. This was not a problem for us and if you want to order extra appetizers, entrees or desserts you certainly could.
We had a Concierge Cabin and our steward was exceptional. Friendly, accommodating and kept our Cabin immaculate.
We prefer ...
Booked this California Coastal to proceed our Mexican Riviera cruise. Package included classic drink, internet, and paid gratuity.
What happened to luxury included? Embarkation had porta potties and double bussing to get to ship.
Lobster dinner is limited to one lobster or pay $16 for additional. Breakfast in your stateroom is $11 if you want any egg , bacon or cheese platter. ...
Let me start by saying…we desperately needed a vacation…and cruising is our favorite type of vacation.
In the end, the vacation was a success!
We got the rest and relaxation we needed after 4 years of not going anywhere. We were sad to leave at the end – and this is the whole point of a successful vacation.
I would like to give a review of the various experiences on this ship.
I ...
Once we saw Celebrity sailing out of LA we quickly booked B2B - itinerary was all new as we had not sailed the Pacific coast before. We like the S class ship and we were pleasantly surprised after reading poor reviews about her condition - I mainly was distracted by the number of windows that need replacing but other than that she is of the classic sailing ship decor in many places but not ...
We chose the itinerary (which was the Pacific Coast, not Japan) Originally we chose the Millinium, but the ship was changed to Solstice. Big disappointment. From a revolutionized ship to one who is just worn out. I choose a cruise for the whole experience and this did not deliver. The service overall service was great, the staff was friendly, we did not experience any of the shortages ...
First this was not a 15 night Bering Sea & Japan TransPacific but an 8 night Vancouver to Los Angeles Pacific Coast cruise. The ship was in very good condition with a few exceptions, like a bench seat with torn upholstery in the Oceanview Cafe. We were in Cabin 3174 (Unobstructed Oceanview) which has a convenient location to minimize walking distance and was not excessively noisy. Main dining ...
We have travel on Celebrity for 24 years...3 times on the Millennium. Due to Covid and a new staff of workers, the Customer Service was awful. We couldn't get WI-FI to work consistently the TV had hardly any stations and it only worked when we were at sea.....2 movie channels, ESPN1 and 2 MSNBC, BBC, BBC1, Cartoons, RedBull channel, Fox news and CNN. The movies were terrible and old. The Ship ...
We paid a lot for this cruise expecting a truly great experience (Royal Suite). What we received was abysmal! Beginning with embarkation - we had to wait forever to get through the line (but should have been able to bypass it because we were 'suite' passengers. See below for ratings of our suite... The food in the designating dining room was good (Luminae) but the service was very, very slow. Food ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to see the west coast of the U.S. and we are so glad we found this one from Celebrity. With ten nights and lots of time in each port we got a great introduction to so many places.
Our 10 night San Diego to Vancouver cruise on Millennium was absolutely wonderful! We had a great time, made many new friends, enjoyed great food and got to see some top notch ...
