We chose this cruise for the time frame and destinations. Our cabin was interior 2385, and we had 4 people in it. It was manageable, and our cabin steward, Suimiasa, brought us extra hangers. Even the bathroom was not too crowded. Yes, the room showed signs of being older (bathroom mirror edges, toilet seat) but everything worked fine. The dining staff in anytime dining was wonderful, very ...
The Carnival Breeze out of Galveston was a delight to be on. The crew and staff are amazing and fun. The food choices (without paying extra) are great! The main dining is a very nice place to eat with very good food (Hard to beat being asked if you want another lobster tail when you just finish one on our dress up night).
We stayed in the inside cabin and that was fine, use the space under the ...
We took this cruise as a long weekend getaway for New Years. We typically cruise the larger newer ships across different cruise lines. Overall it was a nice cruise and cruise ship for the holiday.
Pros:
Holiday decor- The Christmas decor throughout the ship was beautiful
New Years Celebration- festivities started at 11pm both indoor and on deck
Cruise Director Cookie was ...
This was my 6th Cruise, 1st on Carnival. Previous cruises have been mostly on RCI and Celebrity, so admittedly, I was a little biased coming into this cruise, however, being a New Year's cruise and traveling with friends, the value was unbeatable (close to $400 less than RCI's Liberty on the same dates, different Itinerary).
Cabin chosen was interior, as has been on previous cruises as value ...
There is nothing better than ringing in the New Year at sea. This was our 4th NYE cruise and 2nd on the Ecstasy. We were fortunate enough to have one of our son's family of 4 and my wife's 2 sisters and a nephew cruise with us. Having family along was icing on the cake.
We live about 30 minutes outside of Charleston and it's very convenient. A family member dropped us off and we met our son at ...
Too expensive for what it was, but it was a 3-day that worked with our schedule. My wife has a history of motion sickness so we wanted to evaluate her ability to handle a cruise (with the patch) without risking a whole week on a potential misadventure.
Some things were very good: generally, the food was great. The burgers and fries at Guy's Burger Bar were excellent. The pizza was great but ...
We had a group of 17 - 8 adults and 9 kids, (cousins) ranging from 7-22, trying something new for that lazy week off between Christmas and NYE. We are all east coasters with ties to Charleston. The timing and location of this cruise were why we picked it. The group had several 1st time cruisers (myself not included) so we veterans thought this would be a good initiation to cruising. This ...
For first time cruisers , the itinerary was 3 stops we had not encountered previously . Snorkeling in Turks/Caicos 2 days after Christmas made the trip for me . My own fault I didn’t book an island tour of Half moon cay in advance , but the island has plenty of beach and a hike up the coast shows off crabs and sea urchins . Nassau , well , is Nassau and we did take a tour of Nassau proper and ...
We chose this trip because it fit into our schedule and for no other reason. It was a premium week and the prices were jacked up as it is everywhere. Having traveled on Carnival before we had some idea of what to expect. Nothing high end, but clean and most of the employees are very hard workers. The designers were extravagantly awful. Terrible colors and lots of odd choices. It looked like ...
Needed a cruise that left after Christmas and this fit the bill and was longer than other companies offered. The ship looks like it needs an update. The decorations are outdated and very pink, seats are cracked and it needs a facelift. Not much to do on the ship in terms of activities. Two waterslides and mini golf did not hold my children's attention (ages 10, 12) and they did not want to go ...
