This was my 6th Cruise, 1st on Carnival. Previous cruises have been mostly on RCI and Celebrity, so admittedly, I was a little biased coming into this cruise, however, being a New Year's cruise and traveling with friends, the value was unbeatable (close to $400 less than RCI's Liberty on the same dates, different Itinerary).

Cabin chosen was interior, as has been on previous cruises as value is important to me more than room category. Cabin was adequate albeit a bit smaller than those offered on the previously mentioned lines. Nevertheless, Cabin was kept consistently clean by our almost non-existent cabin attendant (ok with me!) who left us the traditional towel animals my roommate kept destroying the first couple nights. It was her first cruise, but our attendant finally caught on and started leaving them on my bed instead. Needless to say we had a better-kept collection of towel animals by the end of the cruise.

One pet-peeve was that I had asked the agency that we booked with to ensure we had 2 beds (despite being a male & female traveling) and I even went back and made sure that selection was made on Carnival's website after booking. Nevertheless, when we arrived, we found only one bed and had to hunt our aforementioned disappearing attendant to make sure it was fixed before we headed off to the New Year's festivities on boarding day. Once the problem was solved, it was "smooth sailing" (more on that later...) after that. So OK on Carnival's part, but why make choices beforehand if you're just not going to see them? (BTW, this has happened on previous cruises too... so I guess, Oh well...)

Galveston

Galveston remains consistent with their Embarkation/Debarkation process. Yes, Terminal could be nicer, as should shuttles to parking. But all in all, an adequate terminal and parking scenario. Well played.

Key West

Terribly cold and cloudy during our New Year's 2017 cruise, but lovely place to visit and lots of things to explore, would love to go back.
