DD and I enjoyed a wonderful round trip cruise to the lovely and breathtaking fjords of Norway. Our cruise took place in May at the beginning of the season, so we also were able to get a great price, and since I booked onboard during a previous cruise, I also got an incentive and help in choosing a cabin that turned out to be throughly enjoyable as well as a good value.

Our fourth cruise with Celebrity and on the whole very enjoyable. The ship was kept spotlessly clean as was our or balcony cabin, deck 8 midships. Embarcation was extremely quick from exiting our taxi we were on board in less than 30 minutes. Our first port of call Oslo was lovely, warm sunny weather and a lot of the sights were walkable as we were docked in the centre of the city. The second port ...
Im just writing this to confirm everything said by terminallyconfused01.
My biggest complaints were.
1.Swimming pool was not heated for 12 of the 14 days of the cruise. When it was finally heated on day 12 it was very pleasant for swimming in.
2. 2 of the 4 main hot tubs around the pool were colder than the other two. All seemed very cold during the atlantic crossing but this may have ...
Wanted the opportunity to visit Iceland and the Faroe Islands, to learn about the geology, history and way of life of the people who live there. Enjoyed the dramatic scenery. Also liked being able go sightseeing in the places visited and to try some locally brewed beers. In particular liked having overnight stops in Reykjavik and Akureyri.
Well organised with friendly staff. Comfortable cabin ...
MSC Cruises has been a significant part of our travel experiences for a long time, given that we reside in Europe. Our recent voyage on the MSC Preziosa over the holiday season, encompassing both Christmas and New Year's, left an indelible mark on us. The overall experience was nothing short of fantastic.
One of the standout aspects of our MSC Preziosa cruise was the exceptional service ...
We’d never gone Far North before. It was a ‘bucket list’ cruise. The crew, waiters and cabin staff were faultless. The ship was an ‘Olsen ship’ and we’d sailed on Balmoral several years ago so it was familiar. The shows were very good and you’d not have believed how little time they had for rehearsals.
The talks were interesting but told you nothing about each destination. For that you had to ...
Hurtigruten’s “Expedition” series cruises are half-way between a traditional cruise and an adventure expedition. The food is top class, plentiful and well managed but the choice of restaurants, bars and dining experiences is limited. The on-board entertainment centres around lectures, craft activities etc and there are no “shows” or anything of the like. There is no casino. The focus is on ...
We missed a cruise due to the pandemic so focused on “the future” which finally arrived November 1, 2022. Mister wanted to see the Northern Lights. I wanted to see Norway. Perfect. We booked everything through Cunard, including airport-hotel and (returning) port-airport. This review will also include a subsequent TA Southampton to NY
Vacation got off to an inauspicious start as we arrived at ...
Chose this cruise because it was going to Hamburg a destination we had planned to visit before Covid stopped the world!
It was really quite a good experience, the ship, although a bit glitzy for our taste was clean and well run. Dining was well organised, and although I wouldn't describe it as 5 star, was well presented, efficiently served by excellent staff and certainly adequate.

We chose this cruise hoping to see the Northern Lights but the warnings come thick and fast once you are aboard that it is a 1 in 10 chance of success. However...on a ship's tour from Tromso we had success. The night before an announcement came from the Captain at 2am that the Lights were visible and we joined the rush to the top deck to see the display with was minimal so delighted to see them on ...
