We missed a cruise due to the pandemic so focused on “the future” which finally arrived November 1, 2022. Mister wanted to see the Northern Lights. I wanted to see Norway. Perfect. We booked everything through Cunard, including airport-hotel and (returning) port-airport. This review will also include a subsequent TA Southampton to NY
Vacation got off to an inauspicious start as we arrived at the famous (Love, Actually) “International Arrivals at Heathrow”. Not only did we not see Hugh Grant, we also didn’t see anyone meet us to transfer us to the hotel. Cunard dropped the ball. We did not get reimbursed. They gave us on board credit so they didn’t lose a thing.
The Biltmore Mayfair Hotel in London (booked through Cunard) was perfect, centrally located. The service was impeccable, the room comfortable and clean. We, along with a few other Cunard guests had a bit of a scare when the concierge informed us they had not received any correspondence concerning our transfers to Southampton. The concierge contacted the company and it turns out they had emailed the information to the incorrect place. Thank you, Biltmore Mayfair Concierge for helping us all out.
Comfortable and the steward was great.
