Meh. This was my eleventh cruise, (4th on HAL) first in 6 years. It didn't rank highly, in fact it has somewhat put us off cruising, at least for anything longer than 10 days. By about day 11, we were ready to get off the ship. We felt there had been some (post Covid?) cutbacks.

This trip was all about the 33 ports and Antarctica. HAL is recovering from COVID like everyone but they seem to expect pre COVID world to return. Nice if incompetent staff. Did this cruise before twice, and really liked the ports. So much more to see in each area. The excursions were really great, on board a different story. First time for Panama Canal. Holland America received great reviews.
The ship it self was like an ice box! When inquired we were told nothing could be done. Our cabin was never warm as was the rest of the ship.

We wanted to do the Panama Canal so chose this cruise. The ship cannot handle the hot weather, the AC when finally repaired (5 days no AC at all in rooms) was still not enough to cool the rooms!!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I arrived at the port and quickly checked in for the cruise. We had requested early fixed seating for the dining room but had been assigned open seating. So, as soon as we boarded the ship, we went immediately to get that situation rectified. The dining room staff was courteous and immediately assigned us seats at a nice table by a window in the dining room.
