Disastrous embarkation from Vancouver. Cancelled Seattle stop

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

A beautiful ship with excellent people serving the guests. The overall trip was ruined by in competent senior staff on board, and incompetent senior management at Norwegian Cruise Lines. The trip started out as a disaster from Vancouver. The ship was originally scheduled to board at 7PM. The original cruise documents said boarding could begin an hour earlier (6PM). However, this changed the day of ...

Very Good Food, Entertainment, Crew but Awful Inconvenient Cabin for Wheelchair

Original itinerary was 6-Nights Vancouver-Seattle-Victoria-at sea-San Francisco-at sea-Los Angeles, but we ended up staying in Vancouver for two nights, two days in Victoria, then at sea skipping Seattle-San Francisco-at sea-Los Angeles. If we had known we couldn't even board the ship until after 7:00 pm on the embarkation, and would be staying in Vancouver for two nights, we could have saved ...

Terrible food and long lines

We can’t wait to get off this cruise ship. This is the last day of our cruise on the Norwegian Bliss from Vancouver to LA. We stayed in a balcony room in 10246. The room is spacious and modern, but it’s not sound proof enough so we constantly hear the TV from the next room at night when we’re trying to sleep, people “doing it” at night, and just general stomping noises and people slamming their ...

The Good and Bad of the Bliss

We have been on 25 cruises, 3 so far this year. We have been on multiple NCL cruises and we were excited to try out the Bliss! The cruise did not start out well and was lacking through out the entire cruise. The Good: 1. We loved the observation lounge. 2. The entertainment was good. We loved SIX and the Beatles. The bands were good. 3. We enjoyed the Laser Tag. 4. The ship was ...

The cruise that had me looking for another cruiseline

We are Platinum Plus (30+ cruises) and consider ourselves "loyalists." Unfortunately, our experience on the Bliss in September pushed us to look elsewhere. We'd also had a not so great experience on the Bliss in April but explained it away by the newness of the ship, etc. This time, we couldn't explain away the below average experience. It really makes us sad b/c we've loved NCL for so many ...

I chose this cruise due to the itinerary as coming from Europe and having family in Vancouver meant I could visit them before heading off on our adventure. Big NCL fan and happy to be trying Bliss it was very exciting to see it in Vancouver port. Boarding process was very smooth and easy and as the cruise had come empty from Seattle the day before very nice to have our cabin ready and waiting ...

Loved the "big" ship!

This was my hubby and I's 9th cruise and 8th cruise with NCL. I would have to say, this was the best one yet! Our favorite ship was the "Pearl", but now....it the "Bliss"!!! This was so much better! The ship is beautiful and really spacious, we never felt crowded. In fact, I took a picture of my hubby in the "side" room of the Observation area and he was sitting all alone! Our favorite ...

The Haven on the Bliss wowed us

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

Being big fans of NCL's Breakaway and its Haven, we were really excited to try the Bliss. The short-ish (5 night) southbound West Coast itinerary was intriguing, too; as experienced cruisers, we've done the Caribbean, Alaska, Canada, and a little bit of Europe, too, so this was new to us, and perfect: embark in Vancouver; Victoria, BC the next day; then a sea day; San Francisco the next day; ...

We chose the California Coastal 5 day cruise from Vancouver to Los Angeles which stopped in Victoria and San Francisco. After reading reviews on Cruise critic we booked the shows and restaurants we wanted to see before boarding.Boarding was quick and efficient as was disembarking. There was an issue in San Francisco because it was the first US port of entry with immigration.Everybody had to ...

I'm a platinum member of NCL and been over 12 cruises with the line. I'm a supporter and was looking forward to the Bliss and booked the year before it came out. Four thousand people is a lot to tackle and per the previous reviews the elevators especially forward take a long time usually a 5 minute or 10 minute wait. Specialty restaurants where i ate every nite are very good maybe not as ...
