Excellent Ship and Cruise

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

Fifth cruise - first with Celebrity. Excellent ship and repositioning cruise. Good facilities aboard. Smooth embarkation and disembarkation. Plenty of space and never felt too crowded. Excellent passenger flow. I am always ready to get off a cruise after 7 days, but I managed 10 days on this one with no troube. Ports visited were OK except for Hilo. Not a lot to see there and the ...

10 night cruise to Hawaii worth the reduced fare.

Booked this cruise for my 20th anniversary. Just me and my wife on this journey across the Pacific...... Traveled up to Vancouver as we live in Seattle. Would certainly say we waited in line longer to get on this ship than most. Lots of confusion by staff which contributed to the lengthy boarding process. Ship was nice, nothing to complain about. Our room was very big for an inside cabin, ...

Pleasantly surprised

We booked this for a "cheap & cheerful" break, and after reading criticisms of this ship we were pleasantly surprised. Embarkation was quick and easy, less than half an hour from luggage pick-up through security, US customs, check in and on board. Met by welcome personnel on board to answer any questions. Ship is dies not quite have the luxury finish of Cunard or as pristine as HAL but ...

It was Hawaii, what's not to love?

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Grand Princess

We have cruised a lot and this was my third on Princess so I knew what to expect. Did not expect the upgrade to balcony, and loved it, even on cold days (in and out of Vancouver, brrr). The ship does need some work and refurbishment and it took a couple of days to work out the kinks with the long wait times for anytime dining and the buffet. That said, it was still a very enjoyable cruise. Wish ...

Roundtrip Vancouver to Hawaii & Back

It was an enjoyable springtime cruise to a destination we were already familiar with. This was our 12th cruise so we had some previous experience to draw on. As we live in British Columbia on Salt Spring Island, situated between Victoria and Vancouver, we were pleased with the convenience of embarking and disembarking in Vancouver - no air flights and horrible airport layovers. As only one ship ...

Excellent Steward. Bad sleeps due to creaking and clanging. Had to sleep with ear buds and music playing. Room very basic. Overall ship condition rough around the edges. Crew good. Musical theatre good. Food became cold fast in Lido hunting for a table. Not enough tables for 2. Often had to share a table with others. Personally don't like plastic drinking mugs. Lots of staff in ...

Relaxing Cruise on the Grand Princess

We booked this cruise just a month before departure; a great price which was made even better when a price reduction was posted a few weeks later. We used the savings to take advantage of an upgrade to a suite offer. We had never cruised in a suite before and now I'm spoiled! We drove to Vancouver from Nevada and stayed at The Coast Hotel. It's a very nice hotel and the very reasonable price ...

We just completed our 15 day no air involved cruise from Vancouver--4 stops in Hawaii-Vancouver. This is a wonderful cruise for those living close to Vancouver or for those who don't mind driving a few hours to get there. Vancouver is a wonderful, interesting city that has lots to offer pre or post cruise. We went to Canada Place to embark. As usual, there was the security, then the Border Agents ...

Some wonderful some awful!

I took this cruise to Hawaii because of the long days at see. I was in Cabin 6127 on the Veranda Deck. Great stateroom, cabin stewards very attentive. Loved spending time on my balcony - private sunbathing, private reading and late night drink. Dining in the main " walk in" dining room was awful. You could walk in but you would have to wait forever. Finally, when I wanted to dine there I made a ...

We have cruised often but never for longer than 7 nights and never with this many sea days (5), so this was a new experience. A few specific comments. One, the ship is very nice and in great shape. It is easy to get around and rarely seemed crowded. Two, the staff and officers were some of the friendliest I have ever encountered. We even met the captain in the elevator the first day and chatted ...
