Just a Wonderful Adventure Cruise

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Safari Voyager

This was our second Adventure Cruise with Un-Cruise. Of course the transit of the Panama Canal was on the bucket list, but this was so much more. Safari Voyager is set up for Kayaking, trail hiking, snorkling and many trips ashore in Zodiacs. It is not a "sit on the boat and watch the world go by"! I must say I thought the Alaska trip on the Safari Endeavor was physical, but this was even ...

GREAT trip, but not for everybody.

My husband & I are in our sixties and love small ship exploration trips. Our cruise of the Hawaiian islands with Un-Cruise was our best trip yet. It's all about the small ship casual experience (less than 30 guests). Definitely worth the price. No fancy stuff. No entertainment. No crowds. Just great staff and fellow travelers who love the same things we do: nature, fish, animals, hiking, ...

Costa Rica and Panama with the Canal

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Safari Voyager

We did the Costa Rica precruise and it was full of adventure (river rafting, ziplining, a boat trip, etc.). There were some glitches with times, meeting points, etc. but I think that will work itself out. Our guide and bus driver were very good. The hotels were interesting and different but nice. An excellent pretrip. Uncruise is camp for grownups and the Voyager was as well. Our cabin was ...

Best way to see Hawaiian Islands

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Safari Explorer

We are Sailors but chose Safari Explorer in the Hawaiian Islands because of a lack of infrastructure for sailboat chartering there. Our trip included stops in Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and the Big Island. The beauty of Hawaii is stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing it. And we were very pleased with the package of wildlife viewing at sea, snorkeling stops, hikes ashore, and cultural/historic ...

Premier Choice for Adventure Travel

We had sailed with Uncruise on their Baja trip and we were so impressed that we signed up for this Panama Canal/Costa Rica trip which is very new for them. We were only the third group on this particular route. This has to be the ultimate way to travel for those of us who want to enjoy the outdoor life without having to pack for dress up dinners but who still want to enjoy the best in local ...

Expectations Exceeded

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Safari Explorer

Our two week trip to Hawaii was twenty years in the making and my wife and I considered all our travel options very carefully. We booked an Un-Cruise Hawaii for the week of March 5 through 12. For us, the total $9,500 fare is a significant amount and we came into the trip with very high expectations. I would never have imagined that our expectations would be so thoroughly exceeded and that we ...

I've been reading through the reviews and have noted that I actually travelled on the same cruise as Carl, however my booking was through New Zealand based Wild Earth Travel. Carl has done an excellent summary of the cruise, I could not agree with his comments more. In particular - a) the crew made us feel like family, they were so welcoming and really embodied the Hawaiian hospitality. ...

The only way to go!

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Safari Explorer

My spouse and I have 40-something cruises under our belts. We've done mainstream cruise lines including Celebrity, HAL, Cunard, Oceania, Seabourn and Crystal. We were looking for an interesting cruise in Hawaii over Thanksgiving and found Un-Cruises on the web. Judging from previous member reviews, we weren't quite sure what to expect. Short and sweet, this was one of the top 5 cruises we ...

A very unique and positive experience

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Safari Explorer

Our Un-Cruise was not what we expected, but because of the Company's/staff's commitment to making our time in Alaska special, we had a remarkable vacation. Due to engine breakdown, the ship did not leave port. Sounds like the making of a disaster - instead it was the beginning of an exciting adventure. Offered the option of ending the trip with total refund and future discount or the prospect ...

Great Alaskan Adventure Cruise

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Safari Explorer

Took my 18 yr old son for his HS graduation. We had a great time. I was aware of small boat cruises (my wife and I did over 20 years ago in Alaska) so had a pretty good idea of what to expect and the Un-Cruise team met or exceeded expectations in just about every way. This is all about seeing Alaska while being comfortable, not a luxury cruise. So every day there are activities like hiking, ...
