Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Harmony of the Seas

For a maiden crossing , the ship was well prepared. Embarkation was professional. Royal brought in their best employees. The steward knew his job and was very helpfull. The dining staff ALL over the ship was polite and also did a fine job. Even with 6780 guests, the waiting was almost nonexistent . Dining venues all over the ship catered to just about any taste. If you want to ...

Embarkation: We arrived early at the Port of Barcelona and were checked in quickly and efficiently. We could not board until 12:00 noon so we waited in the port facilities. Out stateroom was available at 1:00 PM. Overall the check-in an boarding process was the easiest we have ever experienced. Stateroom: We were in stateroom 10544, a balcony cabin just forward of the elevators. It ...

We sailed from Civitavecchia on a short three nghts to get to Barcelona before a 13 night sailing across the Atlantic (TA) to Miami. Just off the Florida coast we met up with Allure of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas for a photo op. We were on the Allure of the Seas last year and have sailed on 24 cruises with RCI and five with Celebrity. Last month we sailed on MSC for the first time. These ...

Big Ship

Thought it would be interesting to try a new large ship. It was interesting. Ship was large and crowded. Not enough seating in public areas. Shows were better than some of the other ships. Food was mediocre. I do have to say, our Dining room team was one of the Best we have ever had. The rest. was no big deal. Will stick with the smaller ships.Activities were good for kids. Did not ever get ...

Shocking decline of a once beautiful ship

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

After a month long trip thru Europe, my wife and I were looking forward to our second cruise aboard the Brilliance of the sea from Barcelona, Spain to Tampa, Florida. Having cruise on her back in 2003, we always talked about how beautiful a ship she was and how good the food and entertainment was. Unfortunately, this was not to be a repeat performance of the same caliber. We were very ...

VERY DISAPPOINTED

We chose the Brilliance because we cruised from Boston two years ago on the same ship. Two years ago the service was AMAZING! This trip turned out to be the biggest disappointment ever. We are diamond members and had to search high and low for all the so-called perks for diamond cruisers. (Pathetic) The food in the dining room was the worst we have ever had. It was tasteless, cold, and one of ...

Loved the relaxing trip. The food was good, we loved Clo, met a lot of interesting people. Great servers in the dining room. Our cabin attendant was fabulous. Shows had good dancing and singing. We would have liked to have stopped at at one of the islands instead of Gibraltar or Malaga. Always love leaving from Barcelona. Surprised at how many Diamond and above people were on this ...

Chose this trip for the itinerary. Hoped for a little more pizazz. May be that expectations were to high. Food was edible, but very disappointing. Staff were very good. Ship lovely , but a little dated. Probably will not take a cruise for a while. Our crew member experience was excellent. Everyone helpful and courteous. Room stewards top notch. Can't say as much for the food. we aren't ...

We enjoyed this cruise very much. We were not very impressed with the food in the dining room nor with the service in the dining room. We were very impressed with Izumu, and Giovvannin's food was steller and service even better. Not sure what happened with the dining room they just couldn't seem to get it together. The service everywhere else on the ship was great. The ship its self was spotless. ...

First transatlantic but not last!

Starting in the beautiful city of Barcelona was lovely - spent three days prior to boarding exploring, enjoying the architecture, food and friendly people. Monday morning we walked to the Rambla flower stalls to find a bouquet for our cabin. Then off to the port, arriving at 11:00 we dropped our one suitcase and headed in for the easiest boarding ever with no line and we were on board in under ...
