Want to fight over a table during lunch time? Be reminded over the sound system not to hang on to long? Pay an arm and a leg for your water, tea and sodas? Sleep on an artisanal extra bed made of bits and pieces? And pay over € 7000 for it. Chose the Serenade of the Seas. You might also experience the leaking through the ceiling and the bathroom lamp falling down in the middel of the night ...

I didn't know much about Royal Caribbean that's why I wanted to try to make a cruise with them..and I certainly made a good choice!!! In my opinion the best one I have tried concerning Food and drinks...very good organization in global and a nice ship .Recomendable.!!!!!! There are a lot of activities, evening shows are very pleasant. What definitely paid my attention is that the ship has a ...

We were a total group of 17 in a variety of accommodations ranging from Owner's Suites to inside staterooms. We were all treated the same...POORLY. First I had to find my own luggage which was wet from being left outside in a rain storm. Boarded the ship at 11am for a 5 pm sailing and nothing to do on the ship (besides hunt for luggage). Staff is generally unfriendly. Most (not all) ...

The Worst Cruise So Far

My husband and I wanted to show our granddaughters 13 and 16 the capitals of Northern Europe and in spite of cheaper options of Holland America and others ($90 a day per person) chose Serenade of the Seas ($150) thinking the quality of food and entertainment will be better. It was just the opposite. Lots of canned/frozen vegetables, cheesy-greasy dishes at Windjammer, not even the once-per cruise ...

Royal Caribbean reminds me of a cost cutting US airline - room for improvement

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

The itinerary of multiple ports including 3 days in St. Petersburg was outstanding. We were at sea for only 1 day and that was fine for some down time. Royal Caribbean reminds me of a cost cutting US airline; I was not happy with several key points: 1) Shore excursions were very pricey including Russia, $325 to visit Egskov castle in Denmark and $179 for Schwerin Castle. I think they ...

Great Itinerary!

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

I chose this cruise for the itinerary. The overnight in Stockholm, our embarkation city, allowed us to fly in on the day of the cruise, rather than fly in early to assure we did not miss the ship due to air travel delays. There were also three full days in St. Petersburg, and an overnight in Copenhagen before disembarkation. We stayed in an inside cabin located on deck 9 forward. I found the ...

We chose this cruise because of the wonderful itinerary, and this never disappointed. However, Let me say this was not the usual Royal experience. We purchased the beer/wine/soft drink package but really was rarely able to use as pool bars were not opened. Had to hike over to one of the other bars to fill a soda. Didn't bother. The Adult pool was always filled with families and their children. ...

Great Itinerary - Lousy ship

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

Worse ship I've sailed on yet. We booked this for the amazing itinerary - lots of port days and only one at sea day. We booked private excursions on most of the ports - did "on our own" in Riga, Klaipeda and Fredericia. The ship gets the 2 star rating. I found it old & out dated ( with a few exceptions in the public bars and lobby) We had a balcony on level 7. The teak railing was warped, ...

Our third cruise with Royal Caribbean but the first with a mid-sized ship. we occupied the cabin 9536 on the 9-th desk which it was fairly big and has a nice balcony. The cabin attended was very efficient and tried to meet all our request, always with a smile. The Windjammer restaurant was very well assorted for breakfast and the main dinning room was also quite good. The cruise is the ...

I have never been so disappointed on a cruise. I choose this cruise because of the itinerary because it had 3 nights in St. Petersburg, Russia. The ship is well worn. It really needs to be refurbished. It was the smallest balcony cabin I have ever seen. The beds were like sleeping on a rock, because there are no box springs, the bed sits on a metal platform. Every couple of days, the water, ...
