Originally, we choose the cruise to visit Moscow, St Petersburg and Tallin but decided to go ahead with the revised itinerary to Berlin and GdaĆsk.
Arrival at the airport (Stockholm) was handled very well. We were met at the airport and our suitcases had already been collected. We were escorted to our private transfer and provided with towels and water. Embarkation through security and ...
I chose this cruise because of the St. Petersburg stop, which, of course, was cancelled because of the war in Ukraine. I had booked this cruise on Crystal for 2020. It was postponed to 2021 and then 2022. Crystal went bankrupt in January 2022. Having been on Viking on the Yangtze River Cruise, we thought we would try Viking on the same itinerary. This time we were on a Viking vessel (as opposed to ...
Even with itinerary changes due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, this trip was terrific. Yes, we were disappointed at the elimination of St. Petersburg, Helsinki and Tallinn, and some of the substitutes did not hold their level of interest, but overall it was still great. This was our second Viking cruise, and everything was perfect. The food is wonderful. Even their "non-specialty" ...
This was our fourth Viking trip. All have been wonderful.
This trip was postponed/canceled twice due to Covid and Viking made sure we did not lose a penny.
We really enjoyed the ports and the excursions. Viking always provides one included excursion. We often sign up for additional excursions and usually find them of excellent quality.
Our favorite excursion was to a fjord via a ...
Because of the world political situation the cruise itinerary had to be altered omitting St. Petersburg and Tallinn. But other delightful ports were substituted resulting in a wonderful experience. The meals were excellent in all of the venues. Cocktails in the Explorers' Lounge before dinner with entertainment by Zeus and views over the ship's bow was a pleasure. The entertainment in the ...
We chose this cruise 4 years ago in 2018. It was postponed twice due to the pandemic. We finally sailed in 2022 but due to the war, St. Petersburg Russia and Tallinn Estonia were removed from the itinerary. Viking did a spectacular job shuffling ports to make a fantastic trip. We spent 2 nights in Oslo, Norway's capital in addition to some other new ports. All were done well. Kudos to Viking ...
This was our first time cruising the Baltic Sea. The Covid precautions were excellent with daily testing which was easy to undertake and not inconvenient. Service onboard was of very high standard. Food quality very good in all areas of the ship. Lovely spa and gym. We were able to play both table tennis and mini golf on board. We went on the included excursions and paid for the one to Berlin ...
We signed up and paid for this cruise over two years ago and then COVID interrupted life. We have always wanted to visit Scandinavia and late evening sunsets.
Everything about the river and ocean cruises on Viking is without par. Service and amenities and crew are always up to the highest standards.
On the other hand, we are extremely disappointed in Viking Air. They were very difficult ...
We wanted to see the Baltic countries. We often visit northern climates and locations.
We were especially excited to see St. Petersburg. The itinerary had to be revised because of the Ukraine invasion, which was understandable but still disappointing. Unfortunately, the changes to the itinerary were not equivalent to missing Helsinki, St. Petersburg, and Tallinn. Oslo was a welcome addition, ...
We'd been on one of you river cruises in 2019 and wanted to try a larger ship. We enjoyed this one so much we have signed on for a cruise with Viking next year. It was different with the covid requirements but that was handled very well. Our cabin was wonderful. We ate all our meals in the cafe and enjoyed the huge variety. Staff were so friendly and helpful! The fact that we could watch ...
