We were invited to join friends on this cruise. It was our first Viking cruise; their third. It was wonderful! The staff was superb! The one downfall was the excursion in Berlin. I chose this cruise to learn about Scandinavia through the convenience and luxury of a cruise. Service on the Mars was excellent ; our room was always spotless, and restaurant servers were very attentive. I did the Viking Homelands cruise with a pre-extension in Stockholm and a post-extension in Iceland. The Viking Mars was a beautiful ship with caring staff and wonderful food. The onboard experience was excellent with guest lecturers and informative port talks. The onboard entertainment was very good too. Viking is an all adults cruise line.
