Great Ship, Bad Excursion

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Wonder of the Seas

The cruise itself was GREAT. The food and wait staff was excellent. The entertainment did not stop from the moment we got up to the moment we went to bed. Just had to look at the itinerary and find something we wanted to do. There was something for the entire family. The only complaint I had is the Salsa making/dancing in Costa Maya. They took us to a basement looking, one room house where we ...

Great Time with Friends on Independence!

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Independence of the Seas

Our group sailed for 4 nights on IOTS. Most of us had adjoining cabins, so we opened the partitions between our balconies for socializing in the morning and lounging together at sea. Highlights: Embarkation: We had The Key, which granted us priority boarding right behind the Suite and Pinnacle guests. Port Canaveral Terminal 1 is very nice and our wait to board was very short. We ...

First Cruise on a Mega Ship

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Harmony of the Seas

This was a family vacation that included my wife and myself, our son, and our daughter and her husband and our 2 grandchildren ages 2 and 6 months. My wife and I have cruised many times with both Royal and Princess so I consider us seasoned cruisers. This was our first cruise on a "mega" ship and we have been on both cruise lines when past ships were then categorized as being the biggest and ...

My husband and I cruised with our son (age 26), our daughter (turned 28 on the cruise) and her fiance (age 25). Husband and I prefer Celebrity for elevated level of service, ambiance and food quality. We have sailed on Freedom, Allure and Oasis in the past. We were expecting very long lines at every turn, no ability to get lounge chairs, lesser food quality and service. Other than a few ...

I'm not big on repeating a ship, especially with so many I haven't been on, but my wife wanted to take my whole adult family and enjoyed the ship in April of 2022, so we repeated the ship. Itinerary was different, as 2022 was San Juan vs St. Maarten. Both hit Coco and St Thomas. In 2022 the ship was 80% occupied, vs close to a sellout this year. Honestly I couldn't tell any difference. WOS ...

Very relaxing Trans Atlantic Crossing

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

My wife and I had a very relaxing cruise across the Atlantic. We were in room 81** (standard balcony cabin), cabin was nice, and had plenty of room or the two of us. Lots of storage areas. We bring a plastic fold up shoe holder to hang over the bathroom door to give much more storage space in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable, shower was not hot enough for me, told our room attendant and ...

8 nights on Jewel of the Seas

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

We sailed on Jewel of the Seas for the 8 night Southern Caribbean itinerary from Port Canaveral to Aruba, Curacao, and Labadee. There were two sea days in the beginning, a sea day between Curacao and Labadee, and a final sea day before returning to Port Canaveral. Our traveling party were myself and DH (both in the 55+ age group) and a friend in a separate cabin on another deck. We used the app ...

My son & daughter-in-law have been on many cruises and decided to take their 7-YO and 5-YO on one. As grandma I went along to help. The three shows we went to were amazing and kept the attention of the two boys, one who is super active. The climbing pad was a huge hit and they spent a significant amount of time on it. The time spent in Cozumel was at a beach resort and the boys really needed ...

For many years, I have said Royal carribean are the masters of cruising. This holiday did not alter that view. There were areas for Improvement. But you will still find the superlatives flowing from this review. Refreshing I don't usually purchase a drinks package As everyone in the cabin has to purchase it and my family mostly only drink what is included anyway. However, Royal ...

Just One Thing

The ship is huge, which is why we chose it. Food is very good, but not as good as Oasis of the Seas. Promenade deck has shopping and free food, and a Starbucks (!), whoohoo!, but not enough shopping. Imagine going down the same aisle at your local mall over and over again, but the aisle only has two stores (not counting expensive jewelry stores) and a few kiosks. I wished for more on board ...
