My husband, daughter, and ten-year-old granddaughter and I just disembarked from the March 3 sailing of the MSC Seashore. We are experienced cruises (25+) with about 8 MSC cruises.
Embarkation: We arrived a bit too early and had to wait outside the terminal (my fault.) Once in the terminal, the procedure went quickly. I wish MSC would require credit card authorization at this point rather than ...
The Seashore is an all chrome and glass ship in the main areas. The cabin, midship 12th floor balcony, was less than desirable. Started the first day placing a plastic bag of toileties on a shelf in the bathroom and the heavy metal shelf popped off and whacked my leg. The screws were missing on the shelf. The carpet in the cabin was deplorable. Old, shabby, always felt damp. Closet door was ...
We were so excited to go on this cruise and don't get me wrong, we still had a great time but were disappointed in some aspects.
Pros: Clean, new ship. Everything was modern and kept very well. We had a balcony room and were so happy to have made this upgrade. Doremiland (kids) was great too, this is our first time going with our son so I have nothing to compare it to.
Cons: Food quality was ...
We took a quick 3 day get-away weekend Cruise for fun and to try out MSC.
We read bad things about the food, it was good actually. The ship layout is not what you would see on Americain cruise lines. No quick serve areas like on Carnival with Shaqs or Royal with Sorrentos. It's all in the buffet. But they keep the buffet open late nights until 2am for things like pizza, nachos, pasta, ...
We recently finished our 4 day MSC Seashore cruise. We booked the Yacht Club, as we have cruised in NCL Haven several times. The embarkation was pretty seamless, they check you in at your seat and deliver champagne. We were priority being escorted on the ship, and the service continued. We watched a lot of reviews around MSC, and decided to form our own opinion.
Pros:
The service in the YC ...
This was my husband and my 7th cruise together and my 10th. We’ve cruised Carnival, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean and this was our first MSC Cruise. I had low expectations going in due to recent reviews, but we wanted a “do over” cruise as our one 5 months ago was terrible. However, MSC Seashore was wonderful! The food was amazing! This was what worried me the most as RC didn’t have good food at ...
We booked 18 cabins on this cruise directly thru MSC. They would do nothing for us as far as discounts or added ammenities for our group. They said they didn't have to give us anything. Bad start to a cruise.
Dining room staaff was horrible. First night we didn't have enough chairs at the table. Had to wait until they found chairs.
Didn't get rolls or butter. Tables near us had ...
Wanted to quickly report that we had a really great time. 7 nights, Fantastica Balcony which included drink package and WiFi. I was worried given the poor reviews but I’m so confused why the reviews were so bad. I heard one man complaining that the coffee was out (10 minutes before buffet breakfast ended) and was very upset. I told him the other stations had cups, coffee and the included coffee ...
Our cruise in February on MSC Seashore our of Orlando was our first MSC cruise. We only ever tried MSC because the last 3 RCCL cruises we'd been on had been one disaster after another. Less service, higher prices...no thanks, RCCL. So we booked this MSC Cruise with a Fantastica experience, and then won a bid for an upgrade to Yacht Club.
And now Yacht Club is the only way we'll ...
Ship is gorgeous and I never felt like it was full. Walking to our cabin the elevators gleamed and it was super clean. We had an upgraded Aurea room and it was tiny. I have seen airplanes with bigger bathrooms. If you had to do a 2 you could not sit straight in the toilet. You were at an angle. Bars looked good and made good drinks but wait times for drinks could be 30-45 minutes. Every bar was ...
