My son & daughter-in-law have been on many cruises and decided to take their 7-YO and 5-YO on one. As grandma I went along to help. The three shows we went to were amazing and kept the attention of the two boys, one who is super active. The climbing pad was a huge hit and they spent a significant amount of time on it. The time spent in Cozumel was at a beach resort and the boys really needed the pool play since the pools on the ship were quite limiting in what they could do. It was a great experience and we were treated like royalty at the one my son selected. On the ship it was a surprise how many events they could not attend because of their age. Also, it was quite confusing when a reservation was needed and HOW to sign up. The guest relations desk struggled as well to show me how to actually sign up for an event/competition. The time when one needed to sign up was also confusing. We missed out on laser tag because directions were not clear about how and when one was to sign up for this. The Family Easter Scavenger Hunt was a bit chaotic as there were times when there was not a person to sign. Extremely disappointed at the end when only ONE prize per family - explain to a 7-YO and 5-YO that they need to split a small bag of candy. This was hard to understand as I did see several families where each child had a bag. I would suggest doing the scavenger hunt in age groups if you plan to do this again in the future. It would be great to have early in the cruise to familarize a family with the layout of the ship and where areas are. The dining options were helpful as well as the food for the boys. I would hope there might be more variety in the dining room if the cruise was longer as the menu was the same every lunch and dinner for the boys unless we opted to eat in the main buffet dining room. It was great having access to pizza at a place in the promenade. Cleaning of the rooms each day was timely and very well done. Overall cruise was great but sign up on the app for events/competitions was very confusing!
