Rome to Miami

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

We were 4 people in 3 balcony cabins on Deck 10. The cruise was chosen principally for the fantastic ports, other than Port Canaveral, which was added so they could load on all of the equipment for the Kiss cruise charter immediately following ours. By doing so they had to adjust our times in Bermuda making it very difficult to actually tour the island. Embarkation was very fast and ...

This was a birthday gift from me to me with Love. October 26th I was in beautiful Bermuda! I chose this cruise because the price was right, the itinerary Was great. I wanted to see as many places as possible My criticism is about the food. I had an expectation of wonderful fresh ingredients from Italy being served since that is where we were leaving from. The food tasted frozen, stale, ...

Great Ship Terrific Captain but Weak Staff

The Cruise itinerary was fantastic. We stopped at ports in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, and Bermuda. Our visits to all were very good. San Miguel island in the Azores especially was terrific. We also like that NCL allows travelers to bring wine on board with a $15 per bottle corkage fee. This was a big factor for us because the allegedly free liquor package in our program was not free. ...

Cruising is slipping in value for money.

This was our first cruise in Europe as we are from Australia. The organisation getting on the ship at Rome was very well organised and very quick compared to other cruises we have been on. The rooms were very nice, well fitted and clean, also among the best we have experienced. We did not like the dining experience on deck twelve as it was like pigs feeding at the trough. Other ...

Great cruise but what was all that shaking?

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

Did we have a broken ship? What was all that shuddering and shaking in a circular movement? This was unrelenting for the entire cruise. At night it was like someone constantly shaking you to wake you. The problem was there whether we were moving or stopped, rough sea or calm, even in dock This was not sea movement. It felt more like engine shake or a problem with the gyroscopes it was a ...

OK cruise but choose your cabin location carefully

The overall cruise was ok. This was my first extended cruise so not much to compare to. I'll start with negatives. Our cabin was located under the kid's play area and they actually had a mini soccer field set up right above our cabin. So all day long and sometimes until late at night we had the sound of footsteps running on our ceiling. It said kids up to 12 but I think the adults were ...

My husband and I were on our honeymoon, the service on the ship was fantastic, the servers were friendly and upbeat. Positives: Friendly servers in all common areas of the ship, buffet, pool, bartenders..   All fine dining was great except the Brazilian steak house, it took 40 minuets to receive a cocktail, the meat was salty and dry and the servers were acting like they did not like ...

Probably won't be sailing Norwegian again.

We booked our Norweigian cruise through AAA. Our travel agent was great. AAA does not book directly through Norwegian, they have to go through Pleasant Holidays. We had to sign a waiver to not hold AAA responsible for any issues that arise. I think I now understand why. AAA probably doesn't want to deal with unhappy customers. That should have been our first red flag. Here is a quick list of ...

My husband and I did this cruise this summer and we did not think it was anything special. I am a well-traveled individual, but I thought I would try something different. Unfortunately, it just confirmed every hesitation that I ever had about cruises. You are on some else's schedule and you really do not have anytime to experience any culture (except American culture, of course). On top of that, ...

Mediterranean cruise and extra charges

I chose this cruise as an alternative to my 13 day cruise which was cancelled day before I was scheduled to leave for Rome. Overall cruise was good but NCL charges you for everything. (WiFi extra, soda extra, fancier restaurants, bowling extra, excursions extra, daily per person service charges, transfers from airport extra) Ship was average, but 2 pools are not enough for the amount of people. ...
