Spent 22 days on the Majestic and wish we had not spent a single night on board.
The boarding was hell, the food wasnt very good and the any time dining simply didnt work out. Unless we ate at 5.45 we would have to wait ages for a table even though they werent all full.
The entertainment was so bad we only went to 5 shows over the entire three weeks and the Princess cruise dancers and ...
My elderly mother and I chose this cruise for the interesting south east Asia itinerary, and the chance to get on the newest and largest ship in the Princess fleet. It was so disappointing. We've cruised a lot, including several trips with Princess, but this experience REALLY put us off booking with them again.
Embarkation in Shanghai was appalling. I know Princess tried to blame the Chinese, ...

There was a group of four of us who chose this cruise as we liked the Ports of Call and the length of the Cruise. We had previously done a cruise on the Diamond Princess and really enjoyed that. Sadly we were very disappointed with this cruise. Embarkation was a disaster with queues as long as 3 hours, waiting in the hot sun with no cold water supplied, no chairs for the older people and no ...
We chose this cruise because of the destinations and the timing suited us both. We spent three nights in Shanghai which gave us enough time to explore this interesting city.
What did I like about our cruise onboard the Majestic Princess?
The service was very good, friendly and efficient.
The tapas in Vines Bar pre-dinner was a nice addition.
The Hollywood Pool Club was a pleasant ...
From embarcation in Shanghai, where no one from princess could be found. You had to shove and push your way for over 500 metres inside terminal. People in wheelchairs pushing there luggage through the terminal with not even 1 staff member from princess to even tell you you where in the right terminal! No queues, just passengers pushing and shoving. The captain blamed the late arrival of the ship. ...
Good value for money. Very disappointed that Happy Hour had been taken off all Princess Cruises. Food was great. I have noticed portion size has decreased which is a great thing. Entertainment was very ordinary. I enjoyed the few days from Singapore. The entertainment progressively got worse. I found the activities on board not to my liking. This was my 5th Princess cruise and it was the ...
Ports of Call were our main reason for choosing this cruise.
Ship was tired. Many unhosted events. Some of the guests were voluntary speakers onboard.
Crew service was brilliant in some areas and woeful with attitude in other areas. Many crew seemed as though they didn’t want to be there.
I am convinced Phillippino crew are the best.
Entertainment was downright poor,
Cabin was ...
Chose this cruise for the ports. Princess cruises is usually our first choice. The Sapphire Princess had just come from a refurbishment which was great. New beds , new flat screen TV's, new carpets etc. Embarkation went smoothly approx 45 min. Our first port was Sri Lanka then Cochin. Did the backwater tour in Cochin (ship tour). We really enjoyed all the ports. The weather was good and very ...
We (DH, Mum and I) booked this as a repositioning cruise with minimal ports as we LOVE our sea days!
Mum had an inside cabin D715 and we had an aft mini suite E721
Embarkation in Yokohama was quite smooth. Just had one gripe and that was when they were calling numbers we could not see or hear. We knew that something was being said but not what was being said. They really do need to ...
