Excellent Cruise- the opposite of every negative review I read on this site
"The room service food was not great (with the exception of the pizza) but good enough to keep us fed.The room was great, the staff excellent across the board, and this was an excellent vacation- one of the best ever...."Read More

This was our first cruise with Princess, and my second cruise ever (the first cruise was with Carnival in 2005). Re traveled aboard the Ruby Princess, to the Pacific Northwest. The ship is extremely seaworthy and very beautiful. I have read a lot of negative reviews prior to the cruise, and wanted to post a different review to ease concerns others reading these reviews may have. My only ...

This was a Valentine gift from my sweet guy! We had been on the Grand Princess before the pandemic and that is what I am comparing my experience. The staff on the Grand were so much more friendly than the Ruby staff. The Ruby staff were pleasant but really didn't seem to go out of their way to be friendly. The food on the Ruby also didn't seem to be as good especially the buffet. The ...

The Staff was fantastic, the food and entertainment needs improvement but know they are still starting up again, the ship is in good shape, I had a balcony cabin and it was well appointed with the much praised comfort of the bed. I want to mention the Ensenada tour to the Casa Dona Lupe, L.A. Cetto & Wine Tasting was not a great tour although they were both nice places there was a lot of standing ...

Nice 7-day cruise down the coast, seemed to be staffing problems

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Ruby Princess

We live in the San Francisco Bay Area, so we enjoy cruises that leave and return to San Francisco -- no airports involved. We've cruised on Princess 5 or 6 times now, and they have been very good. We noticed this time that staffing seemed to be a problem -- very, very long waits at dinner. On the first 2 nights, there were long lines to get into the dining rooms (da Vinci and Botticelli) and it ...

Great cruise, not happy with changes

The cruise was great but when my wife and I made the reservations I had asked for timed dining for a table of two. Might be because of the Covid the last 2 years when we arrived the 1st night for our table on past cruises we were assigned a table for the week and would be taken the 1st night to the table and return the same time every night even if you were a few minutes late. This time though ...

Could Have Been Better

I have always had great experiences on my previous Princess cruises to Alaska and Hawaii. This cruise was excellent in many ways. The entertainment was top notch. The food was delicious and such a great variety of choices. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. That's all the positives points of this particular cruise. There were quite a few negatives though. I've never had to wait sooo ...

Relaxing and enjoyable but Princess needs to fix a few things.

Great way to relax but Princess needs to fix a few things. Not up to snuff yet post pandemic. Short way to get away and relax, but the embarkation process was a disaster. We had to stand in line three hours since trip not ready and it took four hours after arrival before getting to room. Cruise left almost 3 hours late. My wife has some health issues and had to stand 3 hours outside ...

Wonderful cruise with a few issues

We had a really nice cruise on the Ruby starting with the embarkation, which was a disaster. We choose not to let one bad experience ruin our cruise, though so we recovered and put that all in the rear view mirror as quickly as possible once we were onboard. There were some remaining issues which I think were related to check in but, they didn't detract much from our experience onboard. ...

Trying Cruising Again

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Ruby Princess

We chose this cruise as it was round trip out of SF and we didn’t need air fare. Not sure what cruising changes would be and wanted a short cruise just to try cruising again. We had three cruises cancelled due to the pandemic and dealing with the airlines in addition to the cruise line to get credits or refunds was time consuming. The changes made by Princess were clearly for our safety and ...

Nice Thanksgiving getaway

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Ruby Princess

Wife and I were looking for a nice getaway for thanksgiving, felt with covid this might be a good choice, and it definetly was. The requirement for being vaccinated and having a recent (2 day) antigen test increased our comfort level. While we could tell that they were still not up to full speed we had not issues and would due it and recommend it as a convient way to get away. Grew to like ...
