Princess Have Problems

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Sky Princess

This is the first negative review I have ever written. The cruise experience was ruined before it had even started. I booked direct via the Princess website had received a booking confirmation, and then received no further communication from them whatsoever, no documentation, nothing. Tried to ring them a week before the cruise, no response despite spending about an hour waiting on the phone over ...

This cruise sadly did not start well. We always drive down and use CPS. Booked time slot on medallion app,11am to 11.30. When we got to port the queue was miles long with one lane open. While we queues D the second lane opened up also. This then created a bottle neck as to enter the terminal you filter back to one lane. It took and hour and half. CPs said everyone was given the same arrival ...

We were so ready and looking forward to our first cruise since the dreaded covid pandemic. We were attracted by the Daily Mail advertisement by ROL for the 12 day all inclusive cruise to the canaries. We duly booked and paid about 4 weeks before departure. Travelled to Southampton and parked our car. Mini bus took us to the pier and this was when the tone of the forthcoming cruise was ...

Rough seas and cold temperatures

This is my very last transatlantic I will ever take this early in the year. I was on 2 previous crossings that started 4-6 weeks later and both times was much happier with the weather. Going in March is way too early. The seas were rough. Several cruise passengers were seasick. Luckily my spouse and I were never sick. However, we rented a lounge in the Sanctuary for discounted full trip ...

Embarkation was delayed due to several cases of coronavirus on the previous transatlantic cruise so they had a deep clean. We arrived early and had seats in the terminal but once the lounge was full they stopped checking passengers in and some waited 3 hours outside the terminal building! We were fast tracked as soon as embarkation started and enjoying lunch at the International café at 1.30pm. ...

Sky Princess. A work in progress

This was our first cruise for 2 years: Before the Covid pandemic we were regular cruisers with Princess. We liked many things about the Princess experience but I think that this cruise failed to live up to our expectations. Firstly the dislikes. Departure was chaotic and last minute info about Covid LF test requirements and changes in embarkation times were confusing. The Medallion app, ...

My shipmate and I booked this cruise after the MSC Seashore TA cruise was suddenly cancelled. In the end this was a godsend as the Sky Princess turned out to be absolutely the best possible voyage. Boarding the ship was a breeze in Southampton - took half an hour to drop baggage, get Covid tested, and pick up Medallion. The ship is gorgeous! Very tasteful and no water slides, carousels ...

Finally back to cruising I was interested in seeing what changes would be made for covid. First of all everyone onboard was double vaccinated therefore there were no children. We felt completely safe with all the protocols in place. We were surprised with an upgrade to minisuite. Self laundry was also free including detergent. The ship was at 1/3 capacity. No problem getting into diningroom at ...

Our worst transatlantic ever (and we have done 17)

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Regal Princess

We chose this sailing (our first Princess cruise) solely because it provided us with a flight-free way to get from the UK to Bermuda, where we had arranged to disembark). Less than 24 hours before sailing we were notified that Bermuda had been dropped from the itinerary and replaced by a second day in Cherbourg - whoop-di-doo! Princess blamed the Bermuda Government, but we know that nothing ...

Princess Regal Atlantic crossing 11/2021

Extremely knowledgeable and attentive crew members!! The cabin, restaurant, bar and service crews were well trained and enthusiastic. Extremely clean ship in every area. Where ever we went someone was scrubbing something. There was minimal to no internet service on this crossing. Overall terrible IT coverage, although again, the crew servicing the internet area gave it their ...
