"So here is it 6 weeks later and no money back despite it in writing and verbally and contacting Princess!BUT just three days before the cruise the Reservations Department of Princess emailed us that we now owed $2300 for the (complimentary) Premiere package, and to pay by the deadline (which was 2 days prior to the email) or they would cancel our cruise!..."Read More

1-10 of 121 Princess Emerald Princess Cruise Reviews for Family to the Caribbean
We chose this cruise as it was doing 2 weeks without a trip back to Florida, it wasn't a bad choice. We travelled as a group of 9 which we do every couple of years.
I know the Emerald Princess is one of the older ships and it is showing its age but we had a nice time.
Cabin
We had an inside cabin on Baja deck and was looked after by Christina. I think we had 1 of the refurbished cabins ...
We’ve been on several Princess cruises and we can see things are on the decline. Service was not as good as what it was before. Most times while eating in the buffet we had to get our own beverages, rarely did anyone ever offer and when they did we waited 15-20 minutes for the drinks to arrive.
The food selection and quality has declined. The buffet also closes and hour earlier than what ...
This was our first Princess Cruise, a 14 day Circle the Caribbean from Ft. Lauderdale in March, 2023. The Emerald Princess and crew were great. But Princess Cruises is so poor and irresponsible with their accounting we won't be sailing with Princess again. Just too risky and they have proven untrustworthy with out money even when they put things in writing. (Details below).
The cruise itself ...
This was a trip for a family group of nine, brothers and sisters and partners in 50's / 60's.
Previously, we have sailed with both P&O and more with Celebrity. All past experience was pre-covid.
Generally, we enjoyed the trip, which isn't exactly surprising as it's no hardship being on a cruise around the Caribbean. However, this, our first experience of Princess, left a little to be ...
This was my 15th cruise of the year but my first on Princess.
The check-in process was farcical but most of the blame should be attributed to the U.S. Coastguard who picked the eve of Thanksgiving to inspect the ship.
The day before the sailing I had received an email instructing me to be there by 12.30pm. Ridiculously late with the information.
I rushed to arrive and got there at12.45. I ...
I chose this cruise because it was for 14 days going to the Easter and Southern Caribbean. Which we love. I have never cruised on Princess before and was so looking forward to this experience. I will list the good and the bad aspects of our cruise. This was our 16th cruise so we are not newbies.
Good first
1. The Hostess in the Michael Angelo dinning room was alway so pleasant asking ...
Princess does a great job of selecting and training their staff to be friendly, knowledgeable and fun. We enjoyed the games, dining and entertainment. All six of us had fun playing bocci ball, golf, croquet, etc. The food selection was good and tasty. The Indian curry was a big plus. The comedy, dancing and singing were fun. We took at least one excursion at every port. We all enjoyed the ...
This is our 10th cruise with Princess. We are Platinum members and stayed in a suite. My biggest complaint is the food quality and choices. The Club Class menu choices were very disappointing. There was always a steak on the menu. Not this time. Other choices were not as good as before. Escargot used to be every night, not now.
In the Crown Grille, you always got 3-4 lobster tails. Now one ...
This was Plan C in terms of our preferred destinations due to covid. We are a younger couple and have cruised in the past.
The BAD:
Cancelled/changed itineraries: including Colombia, and grand cayman and both replaced with bahamas. (Colombia was the reason we booked so we were sorely disappointed i do give props to princess for trying to fix the situation!)
Cancelled our costa rica ...
We choose this cruise because of its destinations. Panama Canal, Cartagena, Costa Rica, Grand Turk, Jamaica. I will applaud them for there covid enhancements, people wore their masks and everyone was respectful of this and of spacing.
We were disappointed that the ship although clean and kept up it is a bit outdated. The activities were mediocre to boring. Understandably, with Covid ...
