The Old School Ship of the Seas should be the name. The actual ship. Needs a paint job and renovations but has a lot of smiling faces on board with the best customer service.

Enchantment Ship Review

Me and my partner went on this cruise for a getaway weekend and the overall review of the ship was poor. Our best time we had was off the ship at our excursions. I have been on 9 other cruises and this was by far the worst cruising experience. Food: Poor, there were only three main places to eat where the food was bland and they actually announced to leave the dining room when finished because ...

Excellent post-holiday getaway

This was an excellent way to wind down from the holidays and enjoy a vacation holiday with our family. It was a family reunion and we were accommodated for a family meeting, as well as enjoying our evening dinners together. There were approximately 40 of us and no one complained about anything. Although the talent in the show was excellent, it was geared more to an older Caucasian audience, which ...

Great weekend getaway!

To avoid the holiday costs we choose the weekend cruise to the Bahamas. I read some of these reviews and warned my spouse to not get his hopes up since it wasn't looking great. Getting on the ship was a breeze, we waited until later in the afternoon and avoided lines. Once on the boat, we went to our room to find the entire level 3 was locked out. This was the biggest downfall of the cruise. We ...

Older ship saved by enthusiastic crew and great food

This was our first cruise - a three day holiday cruise to Freeport and Coco Cay. This ship is clearly older and in need of renovations but not terrible by any means. Ever crew member was friendly and responsive. I found the food excellent at all times and well exceeded expectations - My Fair Lady, Chop Grill and Windjammer. Susie and Nicola as cruise directors brought a lot of energy to the ...

I was looking for a short cruise for warm weather and this did not disappoint. My last cruise was for 7 nights on the Allure and was too long for me. I drove down to Port Canaveral and parked at the port. Within 20 minutes, I was on the boat. As compared to boarding the Allure, this was great. The ship was a lot smaller than the Allure but it was not crowded. The gym was a little crowded in the ...

Very Excellent Christmas Cruise

We decided to do our very first Christmas cruise after more than a hundred cruises. We had MTD and the food was good to excellent. Christmas Dinner was from a special menu (see Photo) and was excellent. Service was as good as we ever have had on any cruise. We did Windjammer a couple of times for breakfast and lunch. Food there was ok but it was jammed each time we were there and there were ...

Something has definately changed with RC and not for the better. I have been loyal to royal however, the last few cruises with them have been terrible. My last cruise happened to be my very first in carnival and unfortunately I spent this cruise wishing I was back on the carnival ship. Our stateroom was fine, had an inside room which we prefer. Asked for an extension cord and extra pillows qnd ...

Bland food, Few activities, missed COCOCAY

Picked the cruise for the date and port. Service is very good but the staff looks exhausted. Few activities. Activities manager is not happy with annoying customers. Missed CoCoCay due to weather. RC does not advertise how many times they miss CoCoCay which is billed as the highlight of the cruise. Nassau is not good. Blue Lagoon was not well maintained and they reserve the only good part of the ...

Enchantment is still a great ship! Avoid "expedited” check-in procedure

We did the three-night Enchantment cruise right before Christmas and we had a lovely time. We’ve been on the Enchantment several times before, as we are local to Florida. It is a quick, easy trip. The ship is still in great shape and after we were onboard, we did not have any problems with our sail (more on check-in procedures later). I would recommend this ship to anyone new or experienced ...

We were originally booked on Majesty OTS and when Royal moved her to Tampa we were placed on Enchantment OTS and told there would be a cost to move with the ship so we decided to check her out. We missed the fact that there was no C & A Top Tier Party. Also no champagne at the Captain's welcome. The weather was bad so we missed Coco Cay and we were told that we could not go there on our ...
