We are Gold status cruisers with Disney and have been on all 4 ships. The pre-cruise vaccination and online registration requirements were simple. Upon port arrival, we were assisted with a pre-boarding Covid test. Then we were directed to wait in our vehicle in the parking garage until test results were available, which was about 45 minutes. We had to monitor our email for the results to be sent ...
I have cruised with Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian in the past and always had great cruising experiences. I was deterred by DCL’s hefty price tag, but I was convinced to give it a go when my family wanted to go as a joint birthday/Christmas celebration. Overall we all had a great time, and have already put down a deposit for our next cruise!
Embarkation was easy, and the staff was ...
The overall cruise was wonderful but certainly way too expensive. It cost us 20K for 9 people and the overall experience was not worth that much money. We took a Disney Cruise 5 years ago so had previous experience with the ship, the entertainment and the character interactions. I understand the changes for Covid but I do think they went overboard with their precautions and it really impacted ...
My apologies in advance for this long review. But I have a lot to say.
I’m going to start by saying I completely understand that things are different now with COVID. I will also say, I think some companies, including Disney cruises, are abusing the circumstances to their benefit.
Pros: The ship is extremely well maintained! I gave the 4 stars review based mainly on how well kept the entire ...
We chose this itinerary because it fit within the kids' school vacation so it wasn't necessarily chosen due to the itinerary. We don't generally enjoy stopping in Nassau so we treated it as an "at sea" day and stayed on the ship. Unfortunately with Nassau, a LOT of people do this so the ship is still pretty crowded if its a full sailing.
Our server team was one of the best teams we have had ...
This was our 3rd Disney Cruise. We love the family-oriented mindset of Disney and choose these cruises because we want a safe experience for our family. On this Merrytime Christmas Cruise we were onboard for the entire week of Christmas and it was a really fun time for all of us. Many of our expectations we met or exceeded and as always, the crew and service were exceptional. There were a few ...
Sailed in December with my two 16 year old sons. We were in Concierge Class. This gave us several benefits. Personally escorted onboard to Concierge Lounge and skipped all embarkation lines. We did have to wait a while for bus from Orlando Airport to the dock, but once at the ship we flew onboard. Concierge Lounge is very nice and always had nice snacks available. Concierge class also seemed ...
This was our first cruise and had heard amazing things about Disney. It didn’t disappoint as far as being surround by all things Disney related. We knew to expect tight space in the cabin (5184 - Verandah Room) so while yes it’s crowded the room met all our expectations and we did enjoy having the balcony to sit out on at times.
The Positive:
The shows very amazing and being able to see ...
I chose Disney because of the rave reviews that I had researched and heard about from friends and acquaintances. In general, my family and I had a great time. The services and staff were great and very accommodating when things didn’t work as expected like trying to dial ship to shore from my stateroom. The ship is impeccably well maintained and clean and there is plenty for passengers of all ages ...
We are a Disney family through and through. DVC members, annual pass holders, and we do the parks at least once a year. We finally tried the cruise and it did not disappoint.
On the plane home, I started reading a bunch of reviews and was surprised at all the negative ones. I really think some of the negative reviews are coming from people who are used to other cruise lines and don't do ...
