We chose this itinerary because it fit within the kids' school vacation so it wasn't necessarily chosen due to the itinerary. We don't generally enjoy stopping in Nassau so we treated it as an "at sea" day and stayed on the ship. Unfortunately with Nassau, a LOT of people do this so the ship is still pretty crowded if its a full sailing.
Our server team was one of the best teams we have had on any sailing with Disney (and all of our teams have been great). We really enjoyed them. We had a great time on the short trip getting to know them.
This was our first trip (of our 5 Disney cruises) with a verandah and we really enjoyed having it as a place to relax. I wouldn't say its a "must have" on future cruises but we definitely will do it when its affordable now. Our teens especially liked having a quiet place away from the pool deck craziness.
Great Cabin. Not a lot of ship noise. Hall noise was also not bad. We had one family down the hall that let their kids run through the halls yelling on the way to their (early!) breakfast which was really rude, but other than that most families were quiet in passing. We were near the elevator which was nice and our verandah was a nice size with good views.
The ship did not dock in Castaway Cay due to weather issues.
We did not get off at Nassau due to crime concerns and lack of interest in the port. We stayed on the ship to enjoy the ship since we didn't have an At Sea day. The ship was fairly crowded due to many not wanting to get off at Nassau.
Great embarkation experience. Efficient and friendly!
