1. bathtub is mouldy, toilet smells like dirty public toilet. Made compliants but no improvement.
2. Everything on the ship aren’t being maintained and very dated, e.g. Pantry water tab (to wash hands) not working, not just one of them but every single one.
3. Staff need a lot more training, the worst customer service I have ever experienced on a cruise ship. E.g. in the Pantry, one of the ...
We have cruised on PO Explorer a couple of times, this is our 8th Cruise in total. PO Adventure is the worst of the lot! The menu is repetitive in the main buffet area, the desserts were a 2/10 very hit and miss. The Dragon lady restaurant that use to be our favourite ia completely different, main stream Chinese food and not unique or interesting at all. Angelo's leaves a lot to be desired. The ...
I've cruised before (even on P&O's sister companies) and can honestly say that P&O is the worst cruise line. First of all, their customer service needed multiple calls to change incorrect information they had put in our booking. The Pacific Explorer is a 1997 old rust bucket that is dated and has mold and damp smells on most decks. There are also other foul smells which goes through the main pool ...
Too many people on a ship that could not handle it. 7 hours waiting to get on/off the ship at Norfolk island (three hour wait on board after getting a tender ticket, then 30 minutes to get on the tender and across ~ then 3 hours lined up first at the bus depot and then at the quay to get back on. Left 90 minutes to explore Norfolk Island. Pantry was always crowded and we could rarely get a ...
Pacific Encounter was reasonably maintained for public areas, but cabins are in a desperate need of a refurbishment. Our cabin had smelly, dirty, and old carpets, outside balcony was a mess with paint flakes everywhere and old rusty furniture. Some bedside drawers wouldn't open properly, and toilet flush stopped working on three occasions.
Entertainment was quite limited with too much emphasis ...
the staff were incompetant - in the dining room you had to ask for a spoon to eat your morning fruit. They did not change to menu in the dining room except for a couple of dishes ever few days.
Were given incorrect information at the Customer Service Desk. Staff did not know their product.
When you dressed for a formal night - you were placed at a table with a person dressed in thongs, ...
Basic cost was very cheap and provided an ideal opportunity to see the pacific islands. You get what you pay for and here the food was appalling in the complimentary restaurants but fortunately, Luke’s Bar and Grill provided an excellent alternative at a modest additional pice. The entertainment was targeted at the not so bright, but the live music was good. Internet costs and photography charges ...
The Pacific Explorer, just like its sister ships in Australia, is a horrible old relic with rust everywhere and daggy old cabins - it really needs to be scrapped.
I had a terrible customer service retail experience where I was treated like an imbecile. I advised P&O of my awful experience through multiple channels, but have never received any acknowledgement of my complaint or an apology. I ...
Once aboard after paying a reasonable price for a cabin, P&O hit you left, right and centre with fee paying activities, food, entertainment.
First , the 2 good points.
1 Embarcation and disembarcation at White Bay were flawless. We paid for ship transfer from and to Central Station Sydney. Once we found out by asking rail staff exactly where to get on at Central, the process was ...
We chose the cruise for a short break
Food had limited choices unless you preferred Indian or Asian type dishes. Food bar area in pantry was so small very packed. Although wait staff were very polite other cruisers weren’t the same.
Customer Service was poor and hard to get a response from guest services when you did try in person you had to que for an hour.
Internet was a rip off you ...
