Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

I apologize beforehand but this is a long review. I have found others’ input very helpful in planning our vacation and hope our experience can help someone else have a fun cruise on the Prima. My husband and I traveled alone from Maine (United States) March 12-19, 2023. We are both in our mid to late 30s, no kids and have been on 7 other cruises in the past. We have been on the Escape twice, ...

We loved the new ship, with a few caveats

We loved the new ship, decor was beautiful. Tons of dining options and some of the best food we have had on any cruise (we have been on Disney, Celebrity, RC, Norwegian and Costa). Indulge food hall is a game changer, and we were never disappointed in anything we got there. Cabins seems far more spacious than other cruises with great storage. Furniture on balcony was actually comfortable, no ...

Good Time on the Escape

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Escape

My wife and I went on the Escape for the Eastern Caribbean cruise. We stayed on deck 15 in a spa balcony room. The room was nicely laid out, plenty of storage and a nice balcony. The downside was at times it could be noisy from the lido deck music and the Haven above. We saw Choir of Man and Rumours ( Fleetwood Mac) both were excellent. We did specialty dining at Cagneys and Ocean ...

Great Vacation for the Family

We read the previous reviews for the ship and were frightened about going on this trip. But we figured we would just roll with it and try to enjoy our hard earned vacation. In the end, we left the ship satisfied and hoping to return to cruise with Norwegian again. This is our 3rd cruise as a family with NCL. We've been on Escape and Breakaway, and we have usually booked a balcony cabin. This ...

Great week with some frustrations

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

Spouse and I (mid 50s) have sailed 10+/- times, mostly on NCL's smaller ships. We had a great week with some frustrations. At embark we went to the theater to reserve seats for several shows which were already sold out. The theater on the ship is too small for the passenger load, and this is a real issue. TIP: the NCL app allows you to get into a virtual queue 2 hours before the show, and ...

To start off with the terminal was great and boarding went thru without a long wait. (approx.20 minutes from start to first picture aboard). We did have to wait for a long time to get into our rooms. We found out afterwards that a delay was caused by an inspection by the Behamas Government. This delay us until after 4:30 to get into our rooms. Once in the room we did not notice anything different ...

Chose this cruise because of the new ship which is indeed gorgeous. Understated in muted tones with blue accents. We had a balcony on 9 which was the biggest cabin I've ever had on a ship. Food at specialty dining venues was great. Was not impressed with Sushi and the main Dining Room menu which is fixed. As far as I know only one in our group of 7 was sick after the cruise - this was ...

First Time Cruising Norwegian - And Likely Not The Last!

A great trip on Norwegian Escape with my parents and sister. This was only my second time on a cruise and 1st time on Norwegian, and I am already wanting to plan another cruise. Escape is one of Norwegian's larger ships, which you'll very quickly come to realize. Took a several days to start getting used to where everything was and knowing which side of the ship to go to. Even by the last day I ...

We chose this cruise because it had a pickleball court on the ship. Please note: It is NOT A REGULAR SIZE court, it is made for kids. The ship is beautiful! The layout very different from any other ship we have been on. There are cushions on the balcony chairs, cushions on many other outdoor chairs, several complimentary dining areas, but I was disappointed in many ways. Here were the ...
