Last of many NCL cruises

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Prima

NCL is definitely shifting the business model.. this ship was league's below in quality of spaces and services over previous NCL experiences (bliss, breakaway, spirit etc). Generally, the uplifts are extreme now.. general "complimentary" dining is much smaller and somewhat lowered quality. Perhaps 1/3 of ship is dedicated to Haven now and they visibly are dumbing down the included options in ...

Great Ship but very Bad experience

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Prima

The ship is new, beautiful, greatly designed and built. The bad is that NCL did offer incredible low prices in the last 3 or 4 weeks, after we had booked and overfilled the ship. It was very unconfortable not been able to get a seat at any bar, the shows, rock place, etc. I have cruised for more than 160 days with NCL, but my previous trips were before Covid 19, I am dissapointed with many things ...

Whilst some aspects of the haven experience were worthwhile many aspects were not. Balcony in a poor state of repair and dirty Sofa bed which is required if you book a suite for 4 was dirty and not fit for purpose. No alternative available . Facilities for 2 only despite paying for 3 this included life jackets! 2 cups shower gel ect only in main bathroom. Promise of a butler to meet ...

Disappointed NCL experience

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Joy

Chose this cruise for a reunion of friends. Food - poor for specialty restaurants - meat entrees ordered were tough and chewy, Rib Eye and Pork Loin in Cagneys and NY Strip in Teppanyaki. Buffet food in Garden Cafe was average. Bar food in Local was average. Food in Manhattan, Savor and Taste were average. Wait staff - NCL did a poor job training their wait staff. Staff in Manhattan, Savor, ...

Disappointing Cruise

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Escape

We just finished the Norwegian Escape this week. We were very disappointed overall. We usually cruise with Royal Caribbean and thought they would be comparable. We did not find that to be the case at all. Let’s start with the positives. The cruise itinerary was pretty phenomenal. We loved 4 out of the 5 stops we made. Newport Rhode Island was a darling and phenomenal stop. We would love to ...

Crowded cruise with people who blew off hand washing & hand sanitizing stations

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Escape

This was my 2nd NCL cruise. I was spoiled since my first cruise was summer 2021 when passenger capacity was 50% & cleanliness was a high priority. I just returned from an NCL New England cruise out of NYC & have tested positive for Covid, in spite of wearing a mask virtually the entire time I was indoors & constantly washing my hands & using hand sanitizer. The cleanliness in public areas ...

NCL & why I will never cruise with them again. Currently on the Norwegian Joy. I’m not inviting comments. No I did not know about these things before I cruised as it was purchased as part of a package. Yes I’ve cruised many time with numerous other cruise lines. Yes may not all be correct as could have not found things . Yes I will take certain items up with customer services and ...

It’s been a while since I’ve traveled on NCL and it’s not the same. Took the NCL Escape for a “7” night cruise to New England and Canada. 1st stop Newport dreary and raining, Didn’t really get to see much as the weather didn’t corporate. 2nd stop Portland, with No excursion planed visited the surrounding area by the port. Little of any major sites nearby. 3rd stop Bar Harbor, took the ...

IF drinking and gambling is a priority then this is your cruise

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Escape

If you want good food select the premium meal plan. The standard fair is just fair. If you want great entrainment go to Disney. Other than choir of Man, singers were pitchy and mumbled. Mentalist show was good but short and slow. Rooms and staff were great. Jeff cruise director was a little annoying. They also spend a lot of time introducing staff. This seemed like a waste of ...

Disappointing

Have sailed NCL many times and it has always been one of my favorites. But the Escape is in need of a refresh, ship was run down, furniture, paint, cabins, overall, in shabby condition. Ship was very short staffed and you could feel it. The usual friendly, smiling service was missing, the limited staff is likely overworked and tired. Bar staff was almost rude with their kurt replies and ignoring ...
