Booked a last minute cruise from Boston to Bermuda. The forecast looked great in Bermuda while the advance weather in Boston looked dreary. Food was very good and one night at Cagney's Steakhouse was perfect. We had to pay for this dinner at a reduced rate but make sure to select the larger portion of the filet mignon. Breakfast at the pool top cafe pretty good but the bacon was always well undercooked. We went to the Venetian restaurant for breakfast on 3 occasions and if was very nice. Our cabin stewart Daniel Endaya was absolutely the best we have ever had on more than a dozen cruises! Great person.. The shows were much improved over last year on Dawn. Horseshoe Beach was fabulous and we took a non-ship mini van with about 10 other miscellaneous people for about $7PP each way. You can come and go when you please but the van has to be close to full before the driver will leave. All the drivers and people of Bermuda are wonderful and are very happy to have you on the island. I can't say enough nice things about them. Read Less

I live in the Boston area so a cruise out of Boston and/or terminating in Boston is a plus (minimizing air travel is always a plus). Embarking/disembarking was typical for an ocean going cruise as was the cabin and most other amenities (I'm a six time cruiser, "typical" means quite good and no complaints). Dining was free style so no reserved table in the evening and a different wait staff each time. I missed that from other cruises. Norwegian seems to be steering you to the specialty dining venues: smaller, better food, more intimate but cost extra. That is the Norwegian theme. Everything seems to cost extra. I suspect the up front costs are deliberately kept low to attract customers but you seem to pay constantly for day to day amenities such as drinks (wine $11, beer $9); unless you buy the "Ultimate" drink package which is exorbitant. Speaking of which, the Norwegian Internet site sucks, it fails to inform you of all the various drink packages available. You don't find out your options until you board. There is a beer package and a wine package available. The wine package worked for me. Forget Internet service (at least for me). I purchased 175 minutes of Internet and got like 10 minutes. The rest of the minutes went down the drain. If you don't make a point of logging out of their app, the minutes just keep counting. I went to the Network guru the first time and he restored my lost minutes, but even then I lost minutes big time (download time can be extensive and counts toward your allocation and it seemed even logging out of the app stop the clock). Simply not worth it. You're on vacation, forget the Internet! Money is better spent on a drink package or an excursion on Bermuda. I wish I'd done that. Biggest complaint for me was no quiet spot. There were four days at sea and for me, the only quiet spot for reading or contemplating the horizon was my balcony. Every public venue was noisy or had some entertainment or noisy and crowded. Even the promenade deck had very few lounge chairs. The other ships I've been on all had a lounge or two overlooking the bow or stern with views and with wait service and was fairly quiet and peaceful and a place for conservation, except for an occasional event. I missed that and found it a real drawback, particularly since we spent four days at sea. My biggest complaint. Read Less

Have done this cruise a few times and I like docking for 3 days in Bermuda. No flying involved which is a plus when vacationing with small children.. All the staff were amazing and so wonderful with the grand kids. Ship was always clean. We had inside cabins and was on deck 5. There was a lot of noise upstairs late at night and early (430A) in the morning. After the 2nd night I complained and it stopped.Embarkation and disembarkation was smooth. I like having Snorkel Beach right next door to the beach because it is easy access and wonderful for small children. I went on the excursion to Horseshoe Bay which was great because they drop you off very close to the beach unlike other transportation I have taken there. Had complimentary dinners at La Cucina and Le Bistro and food was wonderful in both places. I will take this trip again and may go solo next time. It's easy and relaxing! Read Less

We have been on the Dawn multiple times over the years and despite her age, it is still an excellent ship on which to cruise. We've tried larger ships but the crowds and lines are off-putting when you took a cruise vacation for the relaxation. The Dawn is the perfect size, large enough to find quiet out of the way spots but small enough that you are not sharing every meal and theater show with thousands of people. The staff and crew of the Dawn are what set it apart from other lines and we always make friends with members of the ship's crew every time we sail. We have never had a bad steward on NCL, and Faisol was no exception. He was responsive and attentive the entire cruise and could not be more friendly. The same can be said for the wait and bar staff throughout the ship. Donnah and Jinky in the Garden Cafe are lovely, Donovan in O'Sheehan's was always fun and funny, Julia and Hetut in Aqua were fantastic and Maryella in the Venetian was also great. Jenny in customer service was also super helpful and friendly. The entertainment on the Dawn is the best at sea. They changed the shows in the Stardust Theater and I was sorry to see the Second City troupe go (they were always top notch) but the replacements were fine. Jose & Patti alone are worth booking the cruise for. They are phenomenal and I loved that they added a theater show from them. The cover a wide range of music and do some spot-on impressions of Neil Diamond, Johnny Cash, Cher, Janis Joplin, etc. Always a great show, The food was always great, especially in the specialty restaurants - but even if you stay with the free dining rooms, the buffet and O'Sheehan's - you can't go wrong. The food is fine - not top notch like Cagney's but as good or better than any other cruise ship food. We did have one slight problem with drinks for other tables being put on our account. This was resolved later on by customer service, but I suspect that it was one overwhelmed server that was the root of the problem. Bermuda was beautiful (as always) and the change of pace (and temperature) was very welcome. I love the fact that the Dawn docks for 3 days at one pier so there is no need to take time-consuming launches or to rush back to the ship at the end of the day (except obviously on the last day). It was a great trip, with great people on and older (but still great) ship. Read Less

We’ve always had an amazing time. Crew is wonderful. Even after 3 years since we were on this ship to Bermuda, a bartender remembered my husband on site at Topsiders when we got onboard. This has occurred over the last 20 years. (We remembered her as well but she sees a lot of passengers). You do feel very well taken care of regardless of your socioeconomic level and stateroom. Great food and I have to commend the crew we would see everyday, they are worked long hours and deserve the utmost respect. Can’t wait to go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2020 we’ll be back for our 20 year anniversary and relax be our wedding anniversary on NCL to Bermuda. I also had the best guacamole at the Mexican restaurant. Casino was great (didn’t win big) but we were well taken care of by Jerry and Rimple while spending time there. Everyone should go on the cruise. Read Less

Overall a very good cruise to Bermuda, For frequent NCL passengers a few changes. Embarkation was a breeze, the only bottleneck was security and the scanners. We arrived curbside at the pier at Noon and 20 minutes later ordered lunch in the dining room. We had late dinner reservations the entire cruise 9PM and the specialty restaurants were all still fairly busy but winding down. It appears the shows are in a phase of changing. Where we had seen "Band on the Run" and Elements at least a half dozen times, we typically skip the shows. This trip we saw one - but I don't recall the name. Typical production, no plot where during the whole thing you wished you were as thin and flexible again. I did not see in the daily the expected Band on the Run, but I might have missed it. I saw on the TV the crew talent show, that I was glad I could switch channels. The food in the Specialty restaurants was excellent but smaller portions. The 38oz Tomahawk at Cagney's has forever slipped into the past. Even things like sides portions have been reduced. We breakfast in Venetian and the food now is hot when served. A big improvement. Even the poached eggs are perfect and still warm. The Venetian lunch menu everyday is the same and closed on most port days. I wish this changed back to a different menu each day with some surprise items. One surprise to us, NCL now has there own 450 passenger ferry to St George. It runs 3 or 4 times certain days and is excellent and very punctual. The only grip being it departs from the other end of the pier, a couple thousand foot hike from the gangway. But then again, the Bermuda run city ferry is farther away. Disembarkation was a little different. We did not receive immigration declaration forms or luggage tags to our room, we had to fetch them from deck 7 at the last moment. No one ever collected our completed declaration so maybe its not required any longer. They asked for those with yellow or gold luggage tags to the big show lounge around 9am. Exited right out the door and got off without any of the expected congestion of inconsiderate or angry passengers. One hint I would have is don't try going the entire length of the ship on deck 7. Best to use a cabin deck unless your dragging luggage, as your screwed by the steward carts. Read Less

This was DD's college graduation cruise, and she brought her high school best friend, who had also just graduated. Had the suite decorated and a cake delivered. Made them both quite happy! Total party was Mom, Dad, son, daughter, graduate daughter, and best friend. Arrived in Boston a couple of days early. Stayed in a lovely VRBO that accommodated all 6 of us. Walked the Freedom Trail. Went to the ship early, since we had the GV. Terminal was very busy and the suites area was very small and quite crowded. We were escorted through as soon as customs cleared the ship. I have to say that the GV has more SQ FT than my house. Three of us play the piano, so I had requested it be tuned, which they did on the first day. There was a wedding party in the adjacent GV and we had piano wars one morning, which was quite fun. We did have dinner in the suite a couple of times. Private hot tub and sauna were GREAT! Excellent service from Jane, our butler, Gian, our Concierge, and Conrad, our steward. Went to a few shows. If you are on the Dawn, I would highly suggest seeing Elements (which is a Cirque du Soleil-like production), Jose and Patty (who sing in the atrium and have a show in the theater), and PJ, the magician was quite entertaining. During our first night, we ate at Los Lobos. The table-side quacamole was very good, but everything else was pretty blah. Moderno was excellent; Cagneys was excellent. O'Sheehans always great for wings and fajitas. Le Bistro was fine. La Cucina was warm and loud when we were there; ended up leaving after 45 minutes without main course. (Asst. Matre "d very apologetic and sent meal up to our room, with dessert, which was nice.) Bamboo was very good---almost didn't try after Pearl experience, but glad we did. We did lots of trivia, made a Gecko, learned dances, etc. Cruise Director staff was very enjoyable. We did not buy the spa pass because our suite had a personal hot tub and sauna. However, we did get the 10/20/30% off on massages. I didn't know before, but evidently you can forgo the 10% and get the embarkation special (which is extra time), so we opted for that. Overall, staff was friendly and engaging. Completed several hero cards. Bermuda had lovely weather. We did the Bermuda Triangle evening cruise through the ship. The captain was quirky and quite enjoyable. We rented bikes the 2nd day and tried to make the whole island. HA! I thought we would stop along the way and check things out....oh, no, my DH thought it was a race. Lots of hills in Bermuda. Who knew? Ended up going from Dockyard to Hamilton. DS and I separated from group for a short while without $$ or IDs....but the people on the island were very nice and even helped me when my pedal bike needed some tightening of the kick stand. Once group back together, we paid to catch the ferry back and turn in bikes----personally, if I never see another bike, I will not be sad. On last day, took ship ferry (which is very nice and quite big) over to St. Georges. Did a little shopping and ate at The Wharf, which was expensive, but good. Both DH and I think we should visit Bermuda again, as we didn't see all the things we wanted! I spent time every day in the casino. I play craps. Tables run $10. Ended up donating all my money, but for the most part had lots of fun playing. Which is the moral that I pass along to my kids....only play what you are willing to lose, and generally budget what you would for an evening of fun, because that's all you can count on getting. Once back in Boston, we had planned for water taxi from ship to store luggage (more sightseeing), then on to airport. However, the GV comes with transportation back to airport. I didn't know that. So, ended up taking provided transportation to water taxi luggage place, then went to aquarium, then water taxi to airport. There is a shuttle bus from water taxi drop off (you have to walk up ramp with luggage). Water taxi is nothing fancy, but I thought it would be an adventure. They have a cruise ship special of $25 to pick you up near ship, store your luggage, then take you to airport. Since we did this trip in May, the weather on the first sea day and last sea day was chilly. As with most cruises, bring something to ward off the chill. Read Less

We took a cruise from Boston to Bermuda. The cruise ship was the Dawn. There were some positives like the nightly show and Bermuda itself. The staff was over and beyond and they would get 5 stars from me. The reason my rating is so low are the reasons below. 1) Food. Everything we ate was mediocre. People say that the add on restaurants are better but, we tried those too, and had way better food at home. When paying $400 a day, you expect the food to be better than cafeteria quality. 2) The pool area. There is one small pool for 2,000 guests. So, you can guess it - it’s overcrowded. We didn’t get to use the pool for this reason. 3) Smoking. People can smoke anywhere outside and also in the casino and in the cigar bar inside. This means that there is smoke everywhere on the outside deck (including by the pool) and that you can’t sit at Gatsby’s bar because of it’s proximity to the cigar bar if you don’t want to smell smoke. Also, we wouldn’t even walk through the casino because it was a constant cloud of smoke. We would have loved to gamble but, it wasn’t an option for us for that reason. 4) Entertainment. Aside from the stellar shows at 7 or 9 PM, we struggled to find actual entertainment on board. They would have towel folding seminars or cake decorating that would simply be opportunities for them to sell you something. During the day, the entertainment was that of which you’d find in a retirement home. 5) Cable. NCL advertises that they have cable on board. They simply have a few channels that tell about their ship, three news stations, one popular tv show station and two movies stations. Unfortunately, the tv and movie stations repeat the same movies and episodes every day. We saw the same things over and over. Read Less

We just came off the Dawn, Boston to Bermuda. embarkation was not too bad at all and we made it onto the ship in about 45 mins. Once on the ship we walked around to get the layout...being lunch time we headed to the buffet in the back of the ship....total mayhem, we opted to head to the pool deck for a burger ...which was good. They announced rooms open and we went to our balcony cabin 10206, starboard side aft. It was clean but on the small side but enough room for two. The bathrooms were on the small side but ok. The cabin and the ship were always kept clean and neat. We never did the freestyle cruising before but go the hang of it. NCL has a rather relaxed dress code, there were no Formal nights....long pants and collared shirt for men seemed to meet the codes. Shorts were allowed in the dining room on almost every night. We chose to eat in the dining room or a specialty restaurant every night. The Buffett was just crazy, ie morning breakfast lines on two sides ended with the Omelet station ...which backed up the line as people waiting for their egg ordered stayed in line and kept the rest of the line from moving forward. ...Dining room food was good. Specialty dining was great..go for the packages. We had the free drink package, a first for us...what I did not like was you did not get a receipt after you get your drink...so there was no way of telling how much they charged for the gratuity or service charge...strange... Some bars carried certain liquors some did not...so you have to search out which bar has your brand . Staff was very friendly and helpful. Entertainment was ok. Cruise director does a Tina Turner set and is great. Shopping on board is really not worth the bother, no great prices at all...even when they put things on sale. Our cabin was under the Spa...noise in the middle of the night when they do the floors, but it does not last that long. One big gripe was on several occasions we stopped at Osheehans for a cocktail, the first time, I had to go to the bar after waiting 20 minutes to ask if we could have someone come take our drink orders, ...10 mins later someone came...and we got a drink....we were there over an hour and a half and that was the only time we got served a drink...we tried to give it another chance but it was bad...we moved on to another bar for our cocktails...I am sure there is more but my mind is whirling around after just getting off. Not sure if we would do the Dawn again but it is not a bad ship by any means... Read Less

We have another cruise currently booked with NCL and plan to book a third here right off. we do not have any other cruise lines to compare NCL to, but couldn't imagine our experience being topped in any way. The food was top notch at all restaurants, and the non stop drinks was even better! From the freestyle cruising, to the cleanliness of the ship, to the great destinations, and the friendly staff, Norwegian is the cruise line for us. This was my first cruise ever. Went with two of my friends and my girlfriend. We traveled to Bermuda from Boston. Didn't know what to expect. Ship: The Norwegian Dawn is a big and beautiful ship with lots of things to do on-board. Rooms: We stayed in an inside cabin and loved it. It is comfortable and very clean. Got a lot of good sleep. Room sturits are very friendly and nice. Our friends had a balcony room and it was awesome. Spent more time in their room because of the view. Nice to relax on the balcony. Food: Can be a hit or a miss. Some restaurant are unbelievable and others are not so much. Bought a 3 dinner package and was disappointed by couple places we went to. Bamboo is an Asian food restaurant, thought it would be good but boy were we disappointed. Not worth it at all. Went to Cagney's Statehouse and were very disappointed in the service. Our steak wasn't cooked the way we ordered. DO NOT EAT ANY OF THE SOUPS. Los Lobos is a Mexican restaurant and it is amazing. Get the Guac! Our server named "Faruk" is the guy you want. He will tell you how it is and will not disappoint. We put our trust in his hands and he kept bringing us delicious foods and drinks. Hands down the best servant we have ever had. Venetian is great for breakfast and lunch. We had a server named "Diaz", we was very good. Good assortment of food. Bimini Grill by the Oasis pool has awesome burgers and drinks. Aqua is a great place for dinner. Le Bistro is a French restaurant which we saved for last. We were blown away by the service and the food. Everything was so delicious. Service was outstanding. The Garden Cafe which is a buffet, has a great variety of food for everyone. Everything was clean and food was fresh. There are a lot of restaurants that you can go to. Trust me, you will gain some weight. Gained 10lbs myself. Crew: Crew is great. These guys make the whole experience that much better. They treat you as if you own the ship. They are there to help with anything you need. Definitely are understated. They go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need and that you are happy. Entertainment: There are always things going on all the time. Acrobatics, comedy, music, movies, games, and trivia. Cruise Director: Are very helpful and make it easy for everyday plan. Excursions: Something for everyone of any age and ability. Makes Great Memories. Enough time in port for excursions and shopping. Did the glass bottom ferry tour and it was awesome. Cool to see different fish, coral, ship wreck, and $3 Rum Swizzles. Beaches are beautiful and clear. Locals are very friendly and helpful. Lots of places to shop around. Did a jet ski tour out of Somerset Bridge Water Sports 441-236-7758. Had an awesome time. Harry Patchett was our tour guide. Was really nice and made the tour fun. Was lot of fun doing 45mph on the water. Bermuda: Lots of things to do and enjoy. If you are looking for a taxi then Shaun, P. Tucker is your guy. Was awesome and very informative. Took us to the beach we wanted to see, but there wasn't much there. Shaun told us he will take us to an awesome beach. We drove around half the island. he told us about the history. Dropped us of at clear water beach. We spent 3-4hrs there. He came back later and picked us up. Was a great guy. Tucker's Taxi Service Cell:441-336-9674 or email: shaunp@logic.bm Trip was very relaxing for sure. No worries at all. No cooking, no cleaning, no kids, drinks available everywhere..."get the booze package" you're welcome. Overall had an amazing experience especially for being a first timer. There are lots of things to do and explore. Lots of restaurants with lots of variety. Had a great company and made some new friends. Will book again for sure. Read Less

As a Bostonian, this ship is so convenient, docked only 20 minutes away from my home. The ship itself is handsome inside and out. It’s big, but not too big, as are some ships. The main dining room where I ate dinner every day is very beautiful. The food there was good to excellent. The service through out the ship was fantastic, the crew was so attentive and friendly. My inside stateroom was small (as was expected) but very neat and clean, with all amenities. I was really only there to sleep. The shows, bars and casinos kept me busy when we were at sea, and there was plenty to do in Bermuda, which is a virtual paradise. One complaint I have is the cost for WiFi, which was almost $150, or $1 per minute. My only other complaint (it’s a very small one) was with the passengers! There is no real dress code on the ship, and many of the passengers would show up for dinner in an elegant dining room wearing tank-tops, ratty shorts and flip-flops, even on the so-called dress up night. I think I was the only person through the entire cruise to wear a blazer, if only once or twice. But aside from the general slovenliness of the passengers, the cruise was wonderful, and I would easily do it again. Read Less

After the 5th cruise with NCL we will no longer cruise with others cruise lines. Upon the Norwegian Dawn from Boston we had attentive staff, good accommodations and food options every day, good entertainment, varied activities, etc. We ate dinners multiple times during the week at the Aqua & Venetian restaurants and the staff were great and the food was amazing! The options were good...my only suggestion would be a more varied fowl (chicken) dish option on the menu for those that are not red-meat or seafood eaters...with that being said the rotisserie chicken option was amazing and the portion was a meal & a half. The wait staff were great throughout the ship and the entertainment was very good also. I'd suggest better timing of the art auctions and biggest critique is saying an art event to name the winners of a contest is at 1pm but then it didn't occur until the end of the 2 hours event (1-3pm), so that was disappointing. Overall, a great experience from embarking to the return! The free NCL tender from the dockyard to St Georges port was GREAT...get there early! "Cruise Like A Norwegian!" Read Less

my wife and I it was our first cruise. we never experienced such personal service, NCL must pay the crew good because they made it a beautiful experience, always smiling and making sure everything was just right. will do it again.Entertainment highlight was patty and jose, looked forward to their nostalgic music nightly, everybody was swept away in the moment, singing along and dancing.went to all the restaurants all very good but our favorite was LeBistro, filet with brandy sauce was sooooo good then for desert Napolian chocolate cake ,lordy never had better.Again cant say enough about crew, how hard they work for you and always friendly is truly amazing, how NCL motivates them is astounding.loved the casino ,to smokey though .won 400 dollars wasn't complaing to much .Bermuda, gorgeous beaches friendly people.what more could you ask for. One person in our party was offered a cruise from the casino we took the offer and upgraded. Spoiled ourselves on the 1st cruise experience with a Family Suite with balcony. The Boston to Bermuda cruise had lots to do, or you could do nothing. Restaurant service was good and everyone was friendly. The food was good and plenty. The morning and lunch crew at Cagneys were super friendly and easy going. The ship floor plan was somewhat confusing, mostly aft, and took a bit to get acquainted. Enjoyed walks around deck 7. Utilized the free gym (some classes were for a fee) and thermal spa package. Somewhat disappointed that the hot tubs didn't have real jets to work on my back. I was the only one with a smartphone and utilized iconcierge on my phone (their free onboard app) which came in handy to see activities for the next few days, nothing from menus though so I took photos of those. Entertainment all round was great. Read Less

As a first time cruiser I really enjoyed my time on the Dawn. The staff was all really wonderful! The food and entertainment were also great! Since we were at sea for the majority of the trip, the pool area was always busy. It was pretty easy to get chairs, and the entertainment at the pool was always fun to watch. The servers at the pool weren't great though, we often had to seek them out to get a drink! Getting on and off the ship in Bermuda was super easy and super fast. Everyone was friendly and welcoming both on and off the ship. The biggest downside for me is that they allow smoking in the casino, which is inside the ship. That meant that almost that whole floor smelled of smoke, and you had to walk through the casino to get to some of the entertainment. It was very disappointing to have to deal with that. Read Less

I chose this cruise for my boyfriend and I because it seemed like a good bang for your buck at the time. Plus, I'm not a huge fan of flying and thought this could be a fun alternative. The cruise itself was super easy to book and board. When we got on the ship, we were the youngest people traveling alone, we're 25. Everyone was very old and very slow moving (not to mention the judgemental looks and entitlement to the elevator). The food was terrible. Part of the appeal to the cruise was that the food would be good and easy. Unless you were willing to pay for a full meal every night, you are eating the fattiest, lowest grade meat and the blandest options of everything else. It was a week of french fries and soft serve. You couldn't bring your own booze, the booze package was $800 per person, and if you did pay for the $11 mixed drinks there was barely any alcohol in it. The island we went to, Bermuda, was absolutely amazing. We rented mopeds and did the excursions we were interested in on our own, beating crowds and saving money (the places didn't charge as much as the cruise line charges). Back to the boat for two days of $50 bingo and french fries and both my boyfriend and I contracted scabies from the mattress. Awesome. If you want to spend $2000 to be with the dinosaurs of the country, eat mush and get scabies than the Norwegian Dawn is for you! Read Less

We have cruised on this ship many times over the years and always had a great time. This time, however, there was a big difference, THE FOOD. I don't know what happened but the food was well below what we have been accustomed to over the years. Starting with the 3 buffets daily, the selection was lacking any imagination what so ever. The food was bland, to say the least. During breakfast the omelet station which has always been a mainstay was not good, the eggs tasted like they were watered down, the person running the station could only prepare one omelet at a time. During lunch and dinner, the meats were dry and the assortment of accompanying side dishes were bland. The ship was clean and our stateroom was typical. The entertainment was average at best. Even the ships stores were different. My wife picked out something from the Duty-Free shop that was clearly marked $81.00 and when it was rung up it was $101.00. The associate brought in a manager and we went right to the spot it displayed at and they admitted it was marked $81.00 but tried to say it wasn't their fault it was labeled incorrectly. Past sailings would have been handled much differently. The manager would have apologized for their mistake and made it right. This time the manager was very unprofessional and argumentative. Overal it was a very disappointing cruise. Read Less

My wife and I had a fantstic cruise on the Dawn to Bermuda. Embarkation at Boston was painless as usual and we were onboard within 30 minutes of arriving at the pier. We had booked an Owner's Suite with Double Balcony but through their on-line upgrade process were upgraded to a Garden Villa Suite. The room was amazing and we had fantastic service from Jane our Butler and Conrad our housekeeper. I also want to send kudos to our concierge Roel who took care of everything perfectly for us. We thought the meal options were great and had good meals especially in Los Lobos and Teppenyaki. Everywhere throughout the ship (especially the restaurants) the staff were very friendly and professional. Bermuda as always was beautiful and peaceful. We went this time to Horseshoe Beach and loved it. I only have one negative to share and that relates to the fitness facility. Although it is a great facility, my wife (who is a dancer) was not allowed to use one of the two dance studios to practice and the other was always filled with classes and meetings. The "off limits" studio pretty much sat empty the entire cruise and was filled with spin bikes that nobody ever used. Since dancing is her profession, this was very frustrating to my wife. Not sure who makes these kinds of rules, but is was overall pretty senseless. Other that that, we loved the cruise and would sail with NCL again. Read Less

Had never cruised out of Boston, was wonderful! Easy on and off! The Dawn was one of our favorites. Read reviews before cruising and was worried about this ship. I did not find any issues that had been posted in the past. Everything was great ! PJ Wen, Sam Fedele, and Jose and Patti were awesome ! truly enjoyed all of there shows !! We had the specialty dining package. On previous Norwegian cruises, we loved the Moderno restaurant, not so much on the Dawn. LeBistro was wonderful as well as LaCucina. We would definetly return to them both. Food was amazing, service was exceptional. The Gosling rum sunset cruise was alot of fun. The representative from Gosling was very informative along with a great sense of humor! We also did the Horseshoe Bay bus ride. had been to that beach before. It was a beautiful day. A must see. The only problem I had with that was the lounge chairs were $18.00 each. That would have been okay if we were their for the day,but we had only 3 hours. Had no choice but to rent them , We will definetly cruise on the Dawn again !!! Read Less
