We choose MSC for the price & destinations and we werent dissappointed. We were however disappointed with some staff not being too friendly or helpful like other cruise lines. We did back to back cruises and we seen the difference between RCC and MSC staff. I think its a language barrier or skill set? I've cruised once before on the discovery 2 and enjoyed so had high hopes for this "new" ship and could directly compare. The experience started badly in Manchester Airport, the check in lines were unbelievable it took nearly 2 hours to check in. This needs to be sorted there was no separate check in fo cruise passenger or if you had printed your own boarding passes which would have speeded everything up. We joined the cruise after 4 nights in Naples. Embarkation and disembarkation procedures were fine and pretty quick. The cruise had embarkation and disembarkation at each port so it was quite easy with staggered numbers. Cabins are lovely and fresh and quite spacious, even for an interior. I have a child and this cruise offered interesting places, at the right time, offering a kids club.. While the rooms were clean and neat and the food ok, the real downside was our noisy cabin right above a night club disco.
