In 2015, we already went on a cruise in Norway on P&O Britannia (our story can be read in Russian at this link: English traditions on a P&O cruise on the new Britannia ship https://forum.awd.ru/viewtopic.php?p=6168033#p6168033). This time we decided to go to the northernmost point of Europe - the North Cape. We chose a cruise on the MSC Preziosa from July 14, 2023. Exit from Hamburg.
Overall I ...
1. Before my cruise on MSC Poesia, a looked-for Wi-Fi price list but didn't find it. So, i photographed it on the ship for future passengers. You can find it at the end of my review.
2. In general the cruise was very pleasant and interesting because the itinerary that included Greenland. The functioning of the ship was wonderful, without any problems. The food was very good in the buffet Lido ...
MSC Cruises has been a significant part of our travel experiences for a long time, given that we reside in Europe. Our recent voyage on the MSC Preziosa over the holiday season, encompassing both Christmas and New Year's, left an indelible mark on us. The overall experience was nothing short of fantastic.
One of the standout aspects of our MSC Preziosa cruise was the exceptional service ...
Chose this cruise because it was going to Hamburg a destination we had planned to visit before Covid stopped the world!
It was really quite a good experience, the ship, although a bit glitzy for our taste was clean and well run. Dining was well organised, and although I wouldn't describe it as 5 star, was well presented, efficiently served by excellent staff and certainly adequate.
Bar ...
Being first time cruisers (this being a "trial run" before doing a TA with Cunard), we had read up on reviews and info re MSC and the Poesia somewhat beforehand.
The Western Mediterranean intinerary suited us well, as we had never before been to Portugal.
Having 11 days in port out of a total 14 was a very exciting prospect, too. On paper, at least.
More about this later.

About the Reviewer: I’m a middle-aged American male who traveled solo on this, my 51st voyage. I have sailed primarily on NCL with over 25 voyages there and a handful of cruises with Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and Carnival. This was my third MSC cruise and my first time taking a ship based outside the USA for the brand. My previous experiences were on the MSC Meraviglia and the MSC Seaside sailing ...
Overall, we had a great vacation. My opinion is that the MSC Poesia is a “relaxed old school” type of cruise. We chose this cruise and itinerary because we had booked plane tickets to Copenhagen. We enjoyed the cruise after a week road trip in Denmark. We enjoyed the ports and itinerary, which was a 7-day Baltic cruise including Copenhagen, Warnemunde, Helsinki, Talinn, and Stockholm.
We have ...
This was my first time cruising with MSC. Before the cruise, I was a little bit concern because of some negative reviews.
As far as I understand, the ship was only 50% full. I was told that quite a lot of cancellations because of the change of route. Instead of St Petersburg, we stayed 2 nights in Tallinn.
I had the premium balcony cabin. There's a big sofa which can turn into a double ...
Very good service
Everything very well organised
When you arrive, when you leave , good system with the luggage
Leaving the boat for an excursion and coming back was elaborate due to safety measurements
Good food in the buffets and restaurants (Tomi!!), good variety
Posibility for a small forfait to be able to drink freely, recommendable
Nice cabin
Interior a bit over the ...
We chose this cruise strictly based on the number of new countries it stopped at (I was aiming for my 100th country) and the time of year (around my birthday in May). We really enjoyed it. Of particular note was the service on the ship. We had excellent service from the following individuals:
-Punia, the water at the Mojito Bar - star of the show! Helped us every morning and afternoon, chatted ...
