Overall, we had a great vacation. My opinion is that the MSC Poesia is a “relaxed old school” type of cruise. We chose this cruise and itinerary because we had booked plane tickets to Copenhagen. We enjoyed the cruise after a week road trip in Denmark. We enjoyed the ports and itinerary, which was a 7-day Baltic cruise including Copenhagen, Warnemunde, Helsinki, Talinn, and Stockholm.

We have been on a few major cruise lines in the past including NCL and Royal Caribbean. This ship was much lower key, but the food was good and service was excellent. Our room was well appointed and overall the ship was clean and beautiful, though you can tell it is on the older side. It was nice that they were not pushing the casino, bingo, etc. like our prior experiences.

We were not huge fans of having to listen to everything in 5 languages. It really slows things down, but makes sense given the location of the cruise. I do think they could have done something to reduce this, like to have announcements available on the TV or online somehow. I think because of the multiple languages there also was a challenge in the entertainment. We still enjoyed the shows, trivia, and deck games.

Cabin Review

We had an interior cabin and it met our expectations. We had a pull-down bed for our son. The room was efficient, well maintained, and our steward cleaned up twice a day. We even got a few towel animals after my son left the steward a note :)
