We've been on 13 cruises and this was the worst food experience we've ever had. The food was bad, frequently recycled for several meals. The coffee was cold and awful. Getting on and off at beginning of our cruise was a dream...Got on board by 11am and sunbathing in rare Vancouver heat on deck (?) by 11.30am.
So - life drill was a pain, it was very hot in our area and standing only, but I suppose it replicated real life possibility.

We sailed on the Emerald Princess before and knew that they treat you like royalty. It was the same on this trip. We loved visiting Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, AK and Victoria, British Columbia Canada.
The excursions offered by Princess were great. Be sure to take the seaplane at Juneau to see five glaciers! The train ride in Skagway is a definite must do!

We added this cruise to our Canada vacation. Travelled as a group of six from the UK.
Embarking was poor, bad organisation by staff,then the pain of imigration meant this process took a long time. That was our only criticism.

Everything was great. Clean rooms, great service, great staff over all. We are vegetarians, so they do not advertise it, but offered us an Indian food menu every night. Made the mistake of buying their soda package for about $70. The Dining Rooms have one specific person (the Wine Steward) for the zone you sit in and you can only place your soda order with that person.

Thought it would be a nice vacation for me and my adult children. Too much time on Sea days. Recommend a one way cruise rather than round trip Seattle. This was our second Alaskan cruise and Alaska did not let us down. The weather was great -83 degrees in Haines! But such a relief from Texas heat. Plus, the air was so clean and fresh. My sister and I were about the average age of passengers and there were few young people or kids.
