Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Timing right. Good price. Limited number of passengers was nice for us . I know it is not good for cruise lines. The food offered on buffet was good. Included restaurants good. Specialty restaurants not a good value for children. Overall we enjoyed the cruise. Third cruise on Norwegian. Epic , Sun and Breakaway. Compared to recent cruise on Carnival on same itinerary it is about equal. ...

We selected this cruise out of convenience. We're limited in the New Orleans area, therefore if we tested positive we could simply drive home. During the pandemic, all passengers need to test negative for Covid 19 before boarding the ship. This was handled by Norwegian and fortunately we were negative. After boarding we learned that the ship was at 50% capacity due to Covid 19 ...

We are frequent NOLA visitors so we flew in two days ahead and stayed at Harrahs Casino hotel which is about 5 blocks from the pier. We new about the covid pre test which was at a Marriott hotel about 4 blocks from ours. We walked over to get the test done and left luggage at the hotel. Then cab back to pick up luggage and trip to pier. The testing was a swab test and took about 30 minutes to ...

My birthday cruise.

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Valor

The cruise itself was affordable and a great way to celebrate a birthday. The weather was very overcast for the most part but still enjoyed the beauty of the islands and ocean. I had a spa service that was excellent, a deep tissue massage. The group I was with all enjoyed numerous spa services and were very pleased. We did lose a passenger this trip and that was definitely a situation I hope many ...

A nice 5 day cruise on Carnival Valor

First time on Carnival. Flew to New Orleans from Ohio on Sunday. Boarding Monday morning was easy. Two bags left with porters and moved quickly after checks of vaccination cards, testing papers and passport. 15 minutes and we were on the ship. Went to Lido deck and had good burritos, tacos at Blue Iguana cafe. Muster drill was so easy. Went to station, we were the only ones there. 5 minutes ...

Recently completed our 2nd cruise on the Valor. The only ship we have ever sailed on twice. Was it a different experience? Yes, but would have to be because of the pandemic. Some things were better or at least about the same and some were not as good. When comparing I will start with the entertainment. The offering in the Red Frog Pub (Our go to hangout) was not near as entertaining as our ...

This was my third cruise on Carnival in 4 months. My first out of NOLA. The terminal in NOLA is very nice, we walked right through and checked in quickly. Once on the ship, we had a suite, so we got our stateroom right away. The room was wonderful. The cruise was only about 50% capacity so we never had to stand in line or wait long for food or drinks. Overall, the staff was not as friendly as the ...

The Valor is an older ship and she shows her age some, however, it's still a great boat and an awesome experience! We sailed out of New Orleans and ported in Cozumel and Progreso in January. The weather was a little on the brisk side till we got further south. I could spend most of my time on the boat bc they have so many things to do. We ended up upgrading our room to a balcony last second and ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Glory

This was our 3rd and 4th cruises on the Glory out of New Orleans. The first cruise was supposed to be to Grand Cayman and Jamaica, but a week or two before the cruise it was changed to Belize and Roatan. So we did back to back cruises to the same ports, Roatan, Belize and Cozumel. The second cruise was just in reverse, Cozumel, Belize and Roatan. This was our first time to Belize and Roatan. ...
