This was my third cruise on Carnival in 4 months. My first out of NOLA. The terminal in NOLA is very nice, we walked right through and checked in quickly. Once on the ship, we had a suite, so we got our stateroom right away. The room was wonderful. The cruise was only about 50% capacity so we never had to stand in line or wait long for food or drinks. Overall, the staff was not as friendly as the prior two ships I had been on. The spa staff was very aggressive and not very nice when I an issue. I ate the steak house for the first time. My steak was undercooked, like still blue, and my lobster was overcooked. The staff was not the normal friendly and very short staffed. I will never eat at the steak house again.

The food in the buffet was the exact same as in the dining room, so why bother? The wait staff was exceptional though!

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

I had hear so many great things about this port, but it was awful. We were there 1-930. The excursion was an hour away, which we didn't know. When we returned to the port at 730, it was dark, barely lit up and nothing was open. There were not even lights in the bathroom.

Cozumel

Cozumel is beautiful, and amazing. The snorkeling and paddle boarding was soooo much fun! The shops were very nice and friendly and not aggressive.
