Sail Date: Jan 2022

Recently completed our 2nd cruise on the Valor. The only ship we have ever sailed on twice. Was it a different experience? Yes, but would have to be because of the pandemic. Some things were better or at least about the same and some were not as good. When comparing I will start with the entertainment. The offering in the Red Frog Pub (Our go to hangout) was not near as entertaining as our cruise in Dec. 2019 but the singers and dancers in the main showroom were much better than before. Note though that the bartenders in the Red Frog were outstanding. We found the food quality to be about the same but the Buffet I think lacked in offerings. Example, there was a man standing in the buffet with tongs in his hand but unless you asked you would never know he was handing out bacon which was only available every other day. Omelets were good but really lacked in amount of offerings. I never saw ham and other things shredded that small. Most things in the Dining room were of good quality and quantity. Service was great and the Chocolate Melting Cake is still the best. The Muster drill is much better as we did that as soon as we boarded and took about 2 minutes. As usual you are probably better off to stay out of the Casino. especially on the last sea day. Could be just me but my luck is usually better on the first or last night on board. Anyway as with any Casino, BE CAREFULL. We don't do excursions anymore partly because of mobility but mainly because we have done everything we want to do in Mexico. So we just shop some and believe everything is higher with less selection, especially alcohol. Never found any Jamaican Rum for our neighbor nor any regular Crown. All in all in spite of masking rules we enjoyed our time on board the Valor and will probably do that cruise again in the future. NOTE, have heard of several arrest on board, mostly for marijuana, even on our deck but did not witness any incident. Not the ships fault and good they arrest people that break the law. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time!!!! We think the Valor is a great ship with above average crew.
